- This guy sounds like the psycho Tea Party nutcases that think the U.S. government is going to attack the United States, U.N. troops are going to help them, the world is going to end, that there is such a thing as "legitimate rape," and that women have some built in rape birth control that keeps them from getting pregnant if raped.

- I'm wondering how they confirmed he did NOT have a remote trigger (wireless or wired) for bomb(s) downstairsnext to the boy. Specifically: if a stun grenade or tear gas appeared, he could immediately press the trigger, blowing up the structure. Sure, they can jam all wireless/infrared frequencies-- but a crude wired trigger, used to connect a charge to plastic explosives down below, would still work. I think they were gambling. A better idea would have been to lure him peacefully to give up the boy in exchange for goods, (fake) weapons, and airtime on Fox News commentary. They would gain ratings in the lunatic demographic, the boy would go free, ***** would be placated, and he would have come out eventually, to get arrested. Plus, liberal smear groups could lampoon Fox, gaining their own ratings. Win-win-win-win. Covey would approve. But no-- the gov. approach boils down to "Hey guys, lets blow up everything in sight!" [Remember how the Waco "cult" affair turned tragic? Or the Iraq war?] For all their intelligence, the best FBI/CIA can conclude is, "Let's blow things up REAL good!!!!!"

- The thing I find most interesting about the reporting during this incident is that NO ONE has mentioned what type of firearm was used by the murderer/hostage taker. It has been a week and they want the people to believe that the authorities don't know what type of firearm he had. The only reasonable conclusion I can come to is that it wasn't a "demonic" high capacity handgun or the most deadly of all firearms, the AR-15. Will they ever acknowledge that these terribly tragic incidents are mental health issues and not gun issues. Good job HRT!!! He definitely deserved to be a pink mist ball. 1*
