- I used to be so proud of Lance Armstrong's accomplishments in the face of his cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery. But now all I want to do is tear up his book "It's Not About the Bike" page by page and shred it. I am ashamed that I have it on my bookshelf. He should be made to pay back every penny to the US Postal Service!

- Is this guy a real athlete? Lets see..he rides a bicycle, makes millions doing it, but has to use drugs to do it well. Let me tell you something..A real athlete is a world class distance runner! No drugs can help them perform better. Running is non-stop from start to finish. There is no resting like in cycling, no coasting down the hill. Just all out physical/mental stamina. Any doping would hinder their performance-not help. How about that as a real athlete!

- it's amazing Lance dopes up and lies about it to everyone for multiple of years and congress wants to get involved. Donte Stallworth kills someone after a night of drinking get only 30 days in jail not a word from congress on that one.

- No matter how it is sliced Lance is a liar and a cheat. A one time liar and cheat can be excused with 'nobody's perfect' or 'everyone makes mistakes' but when someone lies and cheats over a period of years there is no excuse. But there are/will be a good number of people who excuse him, believe he should be returned to 'hero' status. Think of all the nice things he has done with his wealth!

- If this were a black athlete, the offer would have been accepted.
The DOJ can't wait to fry this white athlete. You can see this coming from a mile away! This is gonna be ugly. - Reply to this comment
- I think it's interesting that so much energy is put into being outraged by this, and not nearly as much when it comes to lying, cheating, crooked politicians. OK, so Armstrong cheated. Not good, but in the scheme of things, is this really the most important issue we're facing today? While I'm not defending what he did - how many of you that are condemning him have fudged on your taxes? How many of you have done unethical deeds to get where you are? My point is this: for all the stone-throwing, you'd think nobody but saints comment here. There's no sense in beating a dead horse.
