With violent crime and murder going down by 50% in the last 20 years I am curious which part of the firearms bans have been successful in actually reducing these crimes ?

The violent crimes and murders started declining 2 years before the failed assault weapons ban of '94 and continued to decline 7 years after the sun set on that ignorant idea, so again with the population increasing the violence and murders dropped.

In 1992 violent crimes accounted for 757 per 100000 and murders were at 9.3 per 100000

in 2011 Violent crimes accounted for 386 per 100000 and murders were at 4.7 per 100000

So again how do the gun grabbing ideas actually work according to the numbers ?

Bunch of pathetic losers bent on some twisted agenda based on moronic ideals that do not work

The NRA is a business lobbying group whose sole purpose is to protect the profits of the multi-billion dollar gun industry, and they don't care who they have to kill to achieve that.

Make no mistake, they are the greatest threat to our personal safety and freedom today, because freedom means the right to walk the streets of America without having to be armed and afraid, not the freedom to threaten others with violence.

The NRA has to go, our liberty depends upon it.

"NRA vows to fight everything on Biden's gun agenda"

The NRA is not willing to entertain ANY kind of gun control? Who would have thought that would be the case? I'm completely shocked.

That organization needs to be disbanded. They're putting our children in more and more danger every day that it exists.

It's one thing to protect the right to bear arms, it's another entirely to protect the right to bear weapons of mass destruction. Rapid-fire cartridges should be banned at the very least. No one cares if you own a rifle, shotgun, or a reasonable six-shot handgun, but crazed Americans have no business owning guns that can take out 30-40 people in 2 minutes. It's insanity and it's about time the government stopped selling it's people out to special interests and did something about it. The NRA needs to step off.

From 2006 thru 2010 firearms related homicides have fallen by almost 17% , so again these statistics point to a reduction of firearm related violence AFTER the assault weapons ban of '92 expired.

Knowing this, why is there such an urgent push to pass fireams laws that have proven not to work.

Those Who Want Armed Occupation of America
Already started and to lead to NRA marketed, well paid on government dime, merc security army:
"MARICOPA COUNTY SHERIFF JOE ARPAIO: I have decided to now send a posse out — the armed posse — to the schools."
"Thank God. Because nothing reassures parents more than surrounding their kids with the kind of guys who have a lot of weapons and nothing to do on weekdays."

Arpaio's security posse: "CBS 5 Investigates uncovered a number of posse members with arrests for assault, drug possession, domestic violence, sex crimes against children, disorderly conduct, impersonating an officer - and the list goes on."

Mention taxes and the mentality, lack of, of that group of (T)'s, there are no (R)'s nor frankly any conservatives and haven't been for a couple of decades, is clearly shown with his remark about "higher taxes will infringe on their 2nd amendment rights!"! {video Report on MSM} This while the over the line with fear and paranoia, talk about mental problems and connected to weapons ownership and use, think the Sandy Hook shooters mom, have the flock rushing out to stock up their private arsenals with more guns and even more rounds and clips of ammunition while that rush has prices rising quickly, better easy money bottom lines for the gun merchants and manufacturers, and they don't mind at all ponying up the extra costs, just don't like taxes that they want others to pay so they get to use everything done from for free for themselves!!

Meanwhile, once again: "Police Facing Shortage Of Ammunition For Training"

The trained and constantly retrained and qualified for use on the weapons assigned or in the regulated armories, even those with desk jobs, just one area of a experienced regulated citizens militias, the law enforcement professions, along with the state National Guards, under the leadership of the state Governors!

And the flocks rushing out and individually buying thousands of rounds actually think they're not 'nuts' nor have growing mental issues while they fondle, with that orgasm gleam in their eyes, their booty and occasionally even fire off some of those thousands of rounds on a firing range, hopefully, thinking they're the real patriots who protect and defend the now no longer Civilized nor even United States!

States should immediately pass laws, nullifying any unConstitutional act of the Federal government. They should states in law that any act of the Federal government not in keeping with the Constitution is null, void and of no force...and any person trying to enforce such an unConstitutional act shall be arrested and charged with a felony.

Time to get serious folks!

Make no mistake:

"....what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms." Thomas Jefferson
