- CBS and NBC now just do their liberal emperor's bidding. There is zero attempt at truth now. There are no "assault rifles" allowed by civilians, so that is a blatant lie. Also, only handguns were used in shooting. But forget the facts, "a crisis is the best time to push forward the liberal agenda."

An AR-15, or the so-called "Assault Weapon", was not used in the school shooting. The shooter even tried weeks earlier to buy a rifle but was turned down in the background check. So he had to kill his Mother to steal her rifle. There were initial reports, right after the shooting, that police found the AR-15 in his car, NOT IN THE SCHOOL. The rifle was not used. The shooter went into the school with 4 handguns, NOT an Assault Rifle as the media has charged.
In the initial hours of this shooting, the Police said they found the rifle in the car. But the Administration-controlled MSM had a pre-planned attack already waiting, to ban so-called assault weapons and jumped on that line of reporting, knowing it was a lie, which included people like Piers Morgan who said the shooter used an AR-15 that shoots hundreds of rounds per minute, as if it were a machine gun. - Reply to this comment
- Now it is reported no assault rifle or rifles period were used during the shooting. Just hand guns, so how about a retraction or let people know whats really happening. And I'm sure the folks on Capitol Hill will not address the fact either.

- There is no such thing as a "semiautomatic assault rifle". An assault rifle must have at least a burst or full auto mode. The term CBS is looking for is "assault weapon," which refers to cosmetic feature of the rifle.

- The rifle used is not an assault rifle. Rifles that look just like it are used by the military, and have selectable modes of full automatice and burst mode that shoot multiple bullets each time the trigger is pressed. The Bushmaster is available to the public only as a semi-automatic and with a clip only marginally bigger than a large pistol. For the un-initiated in semi vs full auto, as a semi-auto, you must pull the trigger each time, as you do with a handgun. This makes the Bushmaster, while frightening looking, the same as the Glock pistol with a longer bore - making it more accurate at long distance but not able to fire any quicker (the Glock will also carry 17-18 9mm bullets - the rifle does not even carry apprieciably more ammo...). The Bushmaster, as sold commercially is NOT an assault rifle.

- First off this is truely a tragity that we all wish we could undo,but we can't.My prayers go out to all involved. Now my arguement with all the idiots that are downing our second amendment!It is there to protect the first amendment.True when it was written assault rifles didn't exist but today they do. If we have to stand up against the goverment what do you want to be armed with? A slingshot?I at least want to stand a chance against fully auto machine guns,jets ,missles and tanks!Also one of the main reasons America hasn't been invaded on our soil is because WE ARE ARMED and can help defend our nation when needed.Take away our guns then hide and watch!How many innocent lives are lost to war everyday? Yeah other countries call us a bunch of Crazies but who do they call on when they need some a** kicked to protect their way of life?
