- The real issue here is that former General Petraeus wasn't using encrypted email, especially as Director of the CIA. For this reason alone he probably should have resigned. (It sounds to me like deep down inside he really wanted to get caught.) - RC

- I don't understand why he has to resign because of an affair. Bill Clinton didn't, John Kennedy didn't and many others as well. His personal life his and his wife's to work on, why does he have to resign???

- I have a sneaking suspicion that had the FBI not been so heavily invested in helping shut down the marijuana dispensaries in California and Colorado the last several years, this affair would have come to light much earlier.
We can all make light of it now of course, but men of great power placed in a situation where they can be extorted can be coerced into doing all kinds of bad things to hide their shame. Maybe even going so far as to support fake wars started by criminal politicians. Enjoy. - Reply to this comment
- his mistress looks more male than female. none of this would have happened if he had kept it in his knickers. no one else had anything to do with it but the two, petraeus and paula. as for petraeus, he is just dishonorable, no integrity. why not divorce his wife, before playing with paula? she was with him in afghanistan for a year 2010 to 2011 and they surely were pleasing each other the whole time. petraeus's wife and children must be really proud of him. paula is trash for taking another woman's husband. buy her book, no way. petraeus and paula = trash.

- Okay was this a case of Paula having a cat fight with another women over the General? If that is the case boy is he a player. Wish Paula would have kept her mouth shut. I bet her husband isn't very happy.The worst part is that she has kids.All I could say is that he picked the wrong girl to play with.She ruined his career.
