- I say add Puerto Rico and drop Florida! Give them to Cuba!!!! Once was bad enough, twice is pathetic. Luckily they don't matter this time. Plus if we do that, we won't even have to get a new flag or change the lyrics of any music. Win-win!

- Yeah, well - it's Florida. Been there - done that. You'd think they'd come up with one new idea. However, considering the source - I recognize that the republicans have not had an original thought since the Great Flood.

- BTW folks, it appears that Florida is the only state that gives a rat about absentee ballots. Can't speek for the rest of the country but it is Florida law that requires all absentee ballots postmarked no later than 7pm on election day to be counted. I gather some of you think that if SGT Smith in Afghanistan gets his absentee ballot postmarked on election day but can't get it delivered until a week later then his vote doesnt matter just to satisfy you immediate desire to kknow who ended up victorious in Florida. Well if you don't call Florida home then it is none of your damn business and you need to shut up.

- Typical GOP dirty tricks again in Florida, only to suppress the Dem vote. With evangelicals making up 25% of the electorate in FL, and the GOP controlling the state legislature, along with a teabagging governor, they conspired to put 11 state constitutional amendments on the ballot -- mostly typical social conservative wedge issues.
So with a super-long ballot -- some up to 10-pages long -- combined with cutting early voting hours in half, and a minimal number of voting machines in minority districts, the GOP was able to make it a very long waiting period -- some up to 7 hours -- to vote, to discourage minority voters that tend to vote Democratic.
To see this kind of voter suppression in the 21st century, it is clear that the GOP must 'try' to steal elections to have any chance at winning them today! Very sad and totally disgusting dirty tricks! - Reply to this comment

- Let's see how Gov. Scott is going to survive this time around. They did everthing to fight voter fraud and at last couldn't conduct a simple election? Hilarious! Lagos (Nigeria) with over 9mil. population conducted a less chaotic election. Gov. Scott be ashame of yourself!Your intention was obivious but then it seems to me that you underestimate the determinations of latinos and minorities in Florida. Your price was your failure Gov. Scott.

- Eleven constitutional amendments? In a presidential election year?
How poorly written is their state constitution? And how urgently did these need to get approved? Couldn't do it in a slow year? - Reply to this comment
- Gov Scott and the Florida Attorney general need to be investigated for this debacle that has occured in their state. These men created a intentional chaotic scenario in an attempt influence voting.

- Lee County(Ft. Myers)Supervisor of Elections Sharon Harrington's office
returned about $1.85 million to the county this year, per documents supplied by county officials. What? why? Waiting for that answer! Says she's not stepping down. We'll see.
