How dare the people of Colorado actually consider reality in crafting public policy! What's next, legal prostitution and gambling? What do they think this is, anyway, a free country?

"The American Academy of Pediatrics said since medical marijuana dispensaries began operating in Colorado, there has been an increase in the number of teens and children treated at hospitals for accidental marijuana ingestion and more fatal cars crashes with drivers under the influence of marijuana."

What they fail to mention is that traffic fatalities dropped by 9% in the same period. Why? More people are self-medicating with marijuana rather than alcohol. Marijuana has far less effect on driving ability. Also, marijuana residues remain in the body far beyond the period of intoxication, and they include these unimpaired people as "under the influence".

All of the "What about the children?" nonsense makes sense only if you want to outlaw alcohol, tobacco, and prescription painkillers. These are all substances meant for adults that sometimes end up in the hands of children and they are all far more harmful than marijuana.

Well, it is good to see that Colorado has some sense. Here is Kansas we have the weirdo legislature and a anally-retentive governor that are afraid of everything and want to shove religion down everyone's throat. Maybe eventually my fellow Kansans will wake up and quit electing these radical right-wingers that promote an oppresive agenda. Good for Colorado.

Big Pharma is behind keeping MJ the boogie man drug. Billions of dollars would slip through their greedy little paws.
