- Just a while ago Romney came out and said he has no plans to change the abortion law as it presently stands. Just a few minutes later, a staffer walked it back. Same with healthcare. He shot his mouth off about it during the debate, praised it actually. Then the next day, a staffer took it back, saying he wants to repeal the whole plan. Obama HAS to bring it to the people in these next 2 debates.Romney has taken way too many positions for him to amount to anything as president. He'll just be a puppet for the Tea Party and good old Grover Norquist. The foreign policy debate will be tough, especially with the Libya uprising and details emerging now. Hopefully the Obama team can get hold of it and explain it truthfully, something Romney seems incapable of doing.

- Mr. Romney, in 2009 did you take amnesty for tax evasion? One more year of your returns won't change anything, if you are the honest and patriotic American you claim you are. Still waiting.
Why is the media not pursuing this? Do we really want Al Capone as President? - Reply to this comment
- Wow. The noise from Obama supporters is getting louder and louder. Do you really think nasty comments about Obama will get him reelected? Those dedicated to Obama aren't apt to change their minds and Those dedicated to Romney aren't apt to change their minds. The outcome is going to be determined by two things. Those who actually vote and independents who will probably be looking at 1) Obama's record and 2) How they feel about the issues. The rest of us will just get hoarse voices shouting at each other.

- 0b0z0: "I will get rid of lobbyists in government", "All bills will be posted on the internet before votes in congress", "I will reach across the aisle", "I will focus on jobs; won't rest...", "I will reduce the debt and deficit in two years or it's a one-term proposition". There are some specifics, how'd he do?

- Both Obama and Romney should be cautious. About ten years ago, a fellow running for local government approached me. He told me what he planned to do for the community. When I started a question with "If you are elected," he became indignant and said "what do you mean if I get elected." He lost the election. Confidence is good but over confidence is dangerous.

- I'll be glad when bipolar Nutty McCuckoo Pants goes away. This man pings and pongs, flips and flops, zigs and zags.
First he says he doesn't care about the 47%. Then he says it wasn't elegantly stated. Then he says he cares about the 100%. Then he says what he said was wrong. This man is constantly back pedalling. We do not need a bipolar president with access to nuclear weapons. - Reply to this comment
- FROM THE CBS NEWS FACT CHECK:
Romney proposes to reduce income tax
rates by 20 percent and eliminate the
estate tax and the alternative minimum
tax.
The Tax Policy Center, a Washington .... <--- (Note this comment.)
research group, says that would reduce
federal tax revenues by $465 billion
in 2015, which would add up to about
$5 trillion over 10 years.
However, Romney says he wants to pay ... <--- (America's middle class
for the tax cuts by reducing or .............. gets "scrw'd" here.)
eliminating tax credits, deductions
and exemptions. The goal is a simpler
tax code that raises the same amount
of money as the current system but does
it in a more efficient manner.
The knock on Romney's plan, which Obama
accurately cited, is that Romney has .... <--- (Mitt "Rob-me's" little refused to say which tax breaks he would .... SECRET.)
eliminate to pay for the lower rates.
Romney's offered only a few modest
examples of government programs he'd be
willing to squeeze, like subsidies to PBS and
Amtrak. He does want to repeal Obama's
big health care law, but that law is actually
forecast to reduce the deficit.

- Solarrays247 October 9, 2012 8:58 PM EDT I have yet to hear of any detailed plans coming from Romney's corner.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
What, you want something more specific than: "Hope and Change"; "Forward"; "Bumps in the Road"; "Fundamentally change America"?
Let's not get too fussy about who is specific. You like the 0b0z0 America's record food stamps, poverty, gas prices? Maybe you like the debt and deficit records better. Those are fairly specific numbers if you want to look them up. - Reply to this comment
- The Romney bump will go away in a few days once people start looking at the facts and find out he lied during the debates.
