..and Romney wants us to stay there indefinitely. What a joke! Guess the lives of our troops mean little to him.

Glad to see someone has finally come to their senses just like they finally woke up and are allowing our soldiers to carry weapons with live ammo. Can you imagine our troops in WWll not having live ammo for their weapons? This country had better wake up soon, before it is too late!!!!

If the Afghan troops haven't been trained by now they never will be. We have been training them for years.

Pretty much....yes.....Obama's WHOLE mid-east policy of helping rebels overthrow governments is back-firing in his face, imploding before our very eyes....those we help, stabbing us in the back......so Obama's AND Hillary's policies are a complete failure.

Stop real or perceived cultural imperialism; get US and NATO "boots" off the ground now!

Mission creep from finite goal of hunting fanatical terrorists to realize justice to a leap into distracted good deed nation building was never going to end in triumph.

Any further US military or diplomatic attention required in this antagonistic region can be effectively accomplished by tactical UAV sorties or cruise missile intervention to disrupt any targets of concern detected from standoff surveillance.

Locals can now be left to wallow in their own culture at their own pace.

Amazes me that no one in the media is willing to can connect the dots--these attacks start in earnest as soon as President Obama announces his troop withdrawals from Afghanistan; this untimely and unwise announcement started it all.
The Afghan troops know anyone who worked for and with the US will pay a steep price for that support once we cut and run from the country. They will be holding the bag for our failed strategy and policy; which is this administration choice.
They are trying to show their future leaders which side they were really on. Those Afghan troops believe they are protecting their necks and their families well being—it is that simple. Cultural differences are plain BS and spin...

How about we suspend all US patrols in Afghanistan. We ahve been there long enough. Bring the troops home and let the Afghans deal with their own security. The people that caused us to go into Afghanistan are either dead, in jail, or living in caves. We can't kill everyone in the world that hates us - simply not possible.
