- In another article Mayor Emanuel calls Washington D.C. dysfunctional. Well Rahm, the fact of the matter is Chicago with 275 murders and thousands shot, robbed, and raped I don't think you should be criticizing anyone, after all you are in charge in Chicago and it's quite apparent you are failing as a leader.

- My idea to end gang violence across the nation is to outlaw gangs of all kinds, whether its bloods, crips, skinheads, and KKK. These groups are nothing but an embarrassment to the nation and they are of no good to our society.

- Rahm Emmanuel balks about hiring more police officers. Sorry, Rahm, but the city needs 1000 more cops on the streets, or more. The CPD works overtime as it is, and during the NATO conf. crime was down thanks to the continued police presence. HIRE MORE OFFICERS.

- This is what confuses me. It's a national crisis when one white guy kills a black guy, but when a black guy shoots and kills a 4 year old black child, that's ok. No public outcry for justice for these kids. What is wrong with the world today? Its only a crime if the person who kills is a different color than the victim? Where are Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson now?

- Normally I would agree that gang members should not be treated, even though that may seem a bit rough, but the flip side is that it provides the very best possible training for tomorrow's trauma surgeons and support people. And Cook County Hospital's ER is THE best in the world. The entire hospital is pretty good and very under-rated.

- Well, what do you expect when people are penned in like they are in most cities? It's a known fact that when people are made to live in a small area with other people, killings go up as the people get on each other's nerves.
