I Live in Arizona and my hispanic background.WE have been here in the the USA for about 200 years in midwest and moved to AZ 37 years ago.AZ does have a BIG PROBLEM with the illegals, live here and see it also helps to know spanish, because they will talk about you right in front of your face if they think you can.t understand them. That is how I know when they are faking about understanding you.
Also when they are trying to get away with something.
Immigration yes, what Obama did Know, to many cracks in the system.
The ones that change there name for a new crime or the one the used a cops Id, or the want the used a person credit(stole ID) to run up thousands of dollars in debt these people should not be able to stay, they will change there name and try a new area. U.S.A. protect our border!!!! Texas is protecting it

Hmmm... 12 years here and a 13 year old daughter. 12 years of likely working under the table. Not paying taxes. 12 years of subsidies for his daughter to receive an education. 12 years of repressed wages because he is illegal. 12 years contributing to lower wage scales for all "legals". When will the Latino-American community wake up and recognize that these "illegals" are the ones stealing their jobs and depressing their wages?

Yeah, Let's pass laws but say we can't enforce them... If your an ILLEGAL immigrant how can you enforce the LAW unless you ask someone who probably "looks" like he came from another country... Obama plays the political game...just like everyone else in Washington... There'all corrupt. Just look at the "insider" trading laws that Don't apply to congressmen. America is a corrupt joke.

I'm reticent to comment as I'm not American, and thus it's a difficult subject to comment on in brief - as will prove evident. It seems to me, from what I understand, that it's 'illegal' immigrants and the precident it may set that's the problem. In Britain, to digress slightly, we've had immigrants arriving all through history, but when the 'Windrush immigrants' arrived from the West Indies in the 1950s - invited to do so by the government - they experienced racism and prejudice in every aspect imaginable. 'No Blacks Need Apply', was the sickening message seen in job advertisements and notices of accomadation. Like the people that arrived from former Empire countries, (Aians, West Africans, East Africans, Amongst many, these people stood by us through two World wars, and were now subject to this repulsive attitude. We were their mother country - and this is how they were treated. Later attitudes changed, and they and their decendents contributed to the nation - not least for me who was introduced by a (Brit of Jamaican ancestory) schoolfriend to reggae and ska music. But they were invited. Now I think our country has reached the limit for immigration - not through latent racism - but simply because of feasibility. We're a small, crowded island. Here though, as far as I see, Mr. Obama has waved past illegals the permission to stay, and here's the difficulty I can, in a way, understand; the feeling that government always intended this to happen in some way, and these people are escaping poverty, and not necessarily have they alligience to the U.S. Naturally immigrants should not enter with abandon now - we now slaves to financial considerations - ar, but what of immigrants, say a century ago - would they be considered 'unacceptable' by today's standards? Is it actual immigration - illegal or legal - that's the problem, or the money it costs to settle and 'Americanise' them? How do newcommers feel - I never seem to see any cooments from them on U.S. websites? ... Apologies for a comment of epic proportions - but it is an interesting subject. (LOL, Also available in two leather-bound volumes).

He was asked for his ID. A completely normal and routine question from Law Enforcement. They found an illegal invader. The Feds are brought into the picture and why is he still here in the US. He should have simply been immediately deported. Problem solved.

I would have to agree with the previous postings. I dont care if you have been here illegally for one minute or a century. You are in violation of the law. Every means available should be used to deport you immediately!

The real question is: "Mario, why have you been in the USA for 12 years and not applied for your citizenship?"

Or maybe: "Mario, have you paid any taxes for the 12 years that you have lived in the USA?"

Those are the real problems.

"Obama said no American should ever live around a cloud of suspicion just because of what they look like." Well, they wouldn't if you did your job, El Presidente, and insisted that EVERY illegal alien left the country, no matter how old or young, how long they've been here, or any other politically expedient justification you care to concoct to get votes to your morally corrupt party.
