- The congressman did not sound much apologetic. He appears pretty insensitive. Why is he a congressman? Who does he represent?

- A belated apology can never make up for the added grief this poor woman suffered, but at least it's an admission of culpability.

- So did he "apologize" for flat-out lying about having checked with the National Archives? (Which he said he did, but actually never did do.)
