- Everyone of you attacking Sgt..Bales should be ashamed. This soldier was defending your right sit here and run your mouths about something you didn't witness but know more about than the people who were there. Four tours, a traumatic brain injury and part of a foot and the man was still in a land where he was unwanted most times and hated for the rest doing a job none of you wanted to do but all of you needed done. You people make me sick. If you can't stand with the people who stand for you why don't you pack your things and try your luck living with the Taliban. I'm sure the frist bad thing you had to say about the way they handled things would stop you from posting sorry ass monday morning quaterback crap like this. Idiots out now!

- I'm old enough to remember when a law was passed that news outlets had to insert 'alleged' and 'allegedly' as an adjective when referring to criminals and crimes.
I suggest when some lawyer hypes the spin he has created for his client [or she as the case may be] that news outlets insert the same alleged... he ALLEGEDLY has no memory of the event, he was ALLEGEDLY sober. Easy enough, eh?
There are millions of people around the globe reading these headlines of blatant drivel and seeing red, and not just middle eastern Muslims... i am a Caucasian christian american with mayflower ancestors [how white can you get?] and I TOO am outraged by these these headlines. If the deeds this man did do not create WW III the words our news outlets use will. God [or goddess] save us all. - Reply to this comment
- I'll bet the parents of the children murdered in cold blood can remember every moment of the night their children were massacred. Remember or not he murdered children.

- I wonder how well that defense works for the Afghans?

- OK, OK, let's all put our pitchforks down and see if some actual facts come to light.

- The My Lai massacre in Vietnam let the US see there was No Noble Mission to 'Win' so we were able to Go Home. Perhaps THIS Massacre will allow the US to Not have Another Pointless Bloody Summer among the Opium Poppies.

- The ignorant, stupid remarks made here perfectly illustrate why a jury system of justice is worthless. You have no evidence to consider and yet you already have a decision. Did the army test Bales blood after arresting him? Is it possible that he was slipped a drug by some Muslim employee? I don't know, and neither do any of you brainless twits that would lynch him tomorrow if given the chance.

- He'd be better off to say he was totally drunk out of his mind and can't remember anything. This selective memory thing will get him life in prison..unless they hand him over to the Afghan government..

- Can't remember? That sounds ridiculous. No defense there.
