- If the Korean center is using embryonic stem cells, they are killing human beings. Thiis is a fundamental rigth to life issue. Our society must protect life. The Church is addressing its failings. On the use of embryonic stem cells the Church can not be expected to compromise a fundamental and correct position.

- Theyve been putting stem cells into hearts for years in Thailand. Don Ho went over there and had it done. The heart failed anyway after a few years and he died. Same for a few of them.

- These were adult stem cells. The Catholc Church has SUPPORTED adult stem cell research. Adult stem cells are pro life and have shown more successful cures than embryonic stem cells. Republicans have also SUPPORTED adult stem cell research. Let's get the facts straight please.

- While the results are preliminary, this work could potentially open an entire new world of medical treatments. I watched two relatives die slow deaths due to heart disease. The research is too late for them but at least there's hope on the horizon for other sufferers.
But I do wonder how many politicians who opposed any and all forms of stem cell research will now be lining up for treatment. - Reply to this comment
