If the Korean center is using embryonic stem cells, they are killing human beings. Thiis is a fundamental rigth to life issue. Our society must protect life. The Church is addressing its failings. On the use of embryonic stem cells the Church can not be expected to compromise a fundamental and correct position.

Western civilization stands indebted to the Church...
---
I don't know what planet you're on, but on THIS planet the church opposed knowledge and learning and even persecuted those who favored same. (See Galileo for starters)

So shove your silly line sideways.

Boy, you sure are eat up with the dumb ass.

1in 6 people in the US receive medical care through the Catholic hospital system. "Last week Thompson Reuters released its annual list of the 100 Top Hospitals in the U.S. The health care information organization has a tough list of benchmarks that hospitals must meet in order to be considered for ranking. The rankings are divided into five categories: major teaching hospitals, teaching hospitals, and large, medium and small community hospitals.

In the No. 1 spot is St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, a hospital of Catholic Healthcare West. Catholic health care centers ranked in 28 additional spots across all the categories. Nine of the hospitals were given the Top 100 Hospitals Everest Award for benchmark performance with the highest rates of improvement."

Theyve been putting stem cells into hearts for years in Thailand. Don Ho went over there and had it done. The heart failed anyway after a few years and he died. Same for a few of them.

We lost 8 years of research under the leadership of that great scientist, George Bush.

As the dogma-afflicted eschew science in favor of mythology, we'll assume that they'd prefer to meet their maker early rather than avail themselves.......

These were adult stem cells. The Catholc Church has SUPPORTED adult stem cell research. Adult stem cells are pro life and have shown more successful cures than embryonic stem cells. Republicans have also SUPPORTED adult stem cell research. Let's get the facts straight please.

While the results are preliminary, this work could potentially open an entire new world of medical treatments. I watched two relatives die slow deaths due to heart disease. The research is too late for them but at least there's hope on the horizon for other sufferers.

But I do wonder how many politicians who opposed any and all forms of stem cell research will now be lining up for treatment.

Funny, sounds like Cheney could benefit from something that the Republicans have been fighting for years...

It would be great if we could somehow deny the stupid access to advancements that they tried to stop. Then perhaps these sanctimonious jerkwads would cease being such obstructionists all the time.
