- Oh My...how has such a short amount of time erased our memories. If you do not remember how MSNBC and some other networks demanized the Bush administration you are not playing with a full deck.

- I don't understand what the big deal is. No one thinks FoxNEWS is a legitimate unbiased news organization. They don't have an independent editorial staff. They aren't held to the same kind of accountability other news channels are.
Remember when Dan Rather got fired because he aired a story about Bush not completing his service at the Texas Air National Guard. His source was shady and the documents he was provided were false, and because he didn't do due diligence he got fired.
Now, look at Glenn Beck and his made-up birther nonsense, look at him saying Obama is a racist because he hates white people. Look at Hannity supporting Rick Perry's secession speech. There are numerous examples where the hosts of FoxNews take extreme right-wing positions on issues.
That's fine. It's their cable show; they can do what they want. Jon Stewart does a lot of the same stuff. The issue is that no one calls Comedy Central a legitimate news organization.
Some people may say the same thing about MSNBC. I get that too. That's why the Bush white house never went on MSNBC. President Bush never gave MSNBC an interview. I agree that Olberman, Maddow, and Matthews are somewhat biased as well. I don't think they make accusations like Glenn Beck, but they do have their own slant. Which is fine.
No one is talking about shutting down Foxnews, or censoring them. The white house is just saying they know Fox isn't interested in serious journalism. Univision is. So they gave interviews to Univision instead. What's the big deal? Comedy Central wasn't complaining they didn't get interviews with top Bush officials. MSNBC didn't get them either. Now it's Fox's turn. But whining is good for ratings, so they're going to keep it up. Great.
But this isn't a first amendment issue or censorship or anything other than just politics. Shockingly politics are political. Democrats don't like to go on Republican channels, just like Republicans don't like to go on Democrat channels. Big deal. - Reply to this comment
- The health care debate is no different than the global warming debate, since it is BIG OIL and the fossil fuel industry along with the for-profit insurance/pharmaceutical industries that have been clouding the issues in order for them to keep the status quo and resist any change that would be better for the average American and the future of our planet.

Thanks for the typical foxnewsus propagandus talking points from the usual idiots like conspiracy theorist glenn beck, but maybe you should realize that it's the waste and abuse of the system on top of the sleezy accounting practices.
Healthcare system wastes up to $800 billion a year
Some other findings in the report from Thomson Reuters, the parent company of Reuters:
* Unnecessary care such as the overuse of antibiotics and lab tests to protect against malpractice exposure makes up 37 percent of healthcare waste or $200 to $300 billion a year.
* Fraud makes up 22 percent of healthcare waste, or up to $200 billion a year in fraudulent Medicare claims, kickbacks for referrals for unnecessary services and other scams.
* Administrative inefficiency and redundant paperwork account for 18 percent of healthcare waste.
* Medical mistakes account for $50 billion to $100 billion in unnecessary spending each year, or 11 percent of the total.
* Preventable conditions such as uncontrolled diabetes cost $30 billion to $50 billion a year.
"The average U.S. hospital spends one-quarter of its budget on billing and administration, nearly twice the average in Canada," reads the report, citing dozens of other research papers.

- I definitely don't like FOX news and I certainly don't count on them for totally accurate/unbiased news reporting BUT I firmly believe in their right to be on the air. Yes, I very much wish that such a large portion of the population didn't count on them for the total story without a slant.
I also believe that Obama has made a HUGE error in judgment by his complete overraction (no matter how bad or unprofessional they seem to him) and so many people in the news industry are correct when they say he stepped over the line here--BIG TIME. When he failed to include Chris Wallace in his tour of interviews, he looked small, afraid and it smacked of childishness. I had good hopes for Obama's first term because so much depends on it for the future election. He's done himself no favors by avoiding what I see as the inevitable. I was no fan of George W. Bush's politics and he was hounded and beaten down by the press, but even he supported their right to speak and comment as granted in our constitution. He even said that's what our soldiers have always fought and died for. Too bad Obama doesn't toughen up and see this. - Reply to this comment

- Both Fox and MSNBC are extreme partisan stations. You don't stand a chance of getting "fair and balanced" news from either one.

- It's obvious that some of you have honed your political viewpoint on SNL skits, spouting the same old regurgitated anti-conservative rhetoric over and over. Give it a rest. Try an original thought once in a while. It will do you good.
Gerald Ford was an accomplished athlete, yet he was branded as a klutz after a famous skit by Chevy Chase.
Nothing trumps the truth like a sight gag. Silly sheeple. - Reply to this comment
- Fox News is at least entertaining. The other networks not only lie, but are boring as well.

- My step dad was also clueless about this. Most people cannot look at the fact: the copy that was posted on the internet is a later generated copy of birth certificate. I have one of these also. So where is the false reporting??
Again, i don't care either way, it is after the fact. But have the balls to look at the facts-this is a closed system with indisputable facts. No one has ever seen the long form accept the governor of Hawaii. We all know governors are sanctimonious ie NJ - Reply to this comment
