- Funny....every Corporate goon and politician has an army of tax avoiders, friends, lobbyists, lawyers, accountants, and outright lies. So the really issue here is that you need class A office space or Dick Cheney in order to avoid paying your share. The tax code is designed so only cheaters can succeed. If the super rich paid the same ratio as the poor, we could reduce our overall tax load greatly.
The IRS is an illegal and immoral institution enslaving our nation. It is like stealing form the mafia or printing real free media, they may not like it, but turn about is fair play. - Reply to this comment

- CBS thank you for finally bringing this attention of concern TAX PAYERS. If you watch only CBS you would of had no idea that ACORN even existed.( Fox News has been addressing this for a long time) How about mentioning that they are due to receive several BILLION more tax payer dollars in the Stimulus package? Also, Obama worked for them as a community organizer. Also, while your on the subject of corruption, how about doing a little research on SEIU. Yet another of Obama's IOU... God Bless America and our troops, and Remember: Freedom isn't FREE!

- CBS finally commented on the Acorn Scandal. Nothing like being caught sitting on your hands in the back of the room.
Now how about a story (stories) on the radical element that has taken up residence in the Obama Administration? How about Mark Lloyd, communications czar, who doesn't believe in the First Amendment? Then theres Jeff Jones, co-founder of the Weathermen and co-author of the stimulus bill. How about John Holdren who advocates forced sterization, forced abortions and limited families?
Why dont you help clean up the corruption in Washington? It all starts there. - Reply to this comment
- It's interesting to see expression of interest by ACORN in suing FOX and apparently the so-called journalists and alleging the taping violated Maryland wiretap laws.
The taping of conversations as shown I believe would have definately violated the law in Oregon as illegal interception of communications. I believe it would also be illegal for FOX to republish the illegally intercepted conversation if the act were committed in Oregon. These would be crimes.
I would suggest that ACORN also contact local prosecutors and turn the evidence over to them. Does the word "FRAMED" mean anything?
On FOX the alleged journalist who posed as a hooker said that her team wasn't getting anywhere at a general meeting so they went, I believe, downstairs to an area closed to the public in their attempt to get the goods.
If you enter a building in Oregon, or a portion of a building open to the public where you are not allowed to be with the intent to commit any crime this is felony burglary. If someone tampered the evidence i.e. tape recordings with intent to conceal the crime this would implicate other criminal offenses.
Maybe others besides ACORN will need to lawyer up.
Now we know what standard the fringe Right and FOX consider legitmate they can only hope that the "liberals" don't come after them in the same manner.
We remember how outraged the conservatives were when Newt Gingrich's intercepted phone calls were made public- Now what will they say- I guess the ends justify the means? - Reply to this comment
- USA has two big time community organizing groups. One works for the blacks, the other for Israel, a country outside the USA. Both want to control our Congress. Until any such group works ONLY for the greater good of Americans they should be disbanded.
Good (or bad) for America......ACORN vs AIPAC? - Reply to this comment
- 400,000 people, you're bound to have some rotten apples. Just as any large organization will have.
Regardless, it's usually the worst offenders who are brought out as representatives of an entire movement.
So - I guess ACORN had better get used to being out in the cold.
And, hey, on the plus side, those on the far right who only know how to whine will have one less thing to whine about, which is good news... - Reply to this comment
- It's a shame it took a 21 and 25 year old to do the work we used to expect from the major news networks. It's also a shame that CBS along with the other two networks people used to rely on for ACCURATE, HONEST and FACTUAL news have long since lost the ability to fairly and impartially deliver news.

- Acorn employees were shown, help with tax fraud, inciting perjury, welfare fraud, RICO crimes, prostitution, child prostitution, smuggling illegal aliens (13 and 14 year old girls) into the US and transporting them across state lines for purposes of sex trade... But it was only one city... no make that two cities.... no three cities... no four cities.... no five.... no six.... And this is a group that has been supporting President Obama for the last 2 decades and his election committee paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for services that they don't even provide.. Chicago Politics hasn't changed since Scarface Al and Boss Daley!!

- Where are all the republican extremists today? Only a few of their hard-core crackpots are posting. Sulking?
Now all week they have been complaining: "Where's all the stories about ACORN!" Well here's a story (and this is'nt the first of them by CBS) and they are'nt here.
