Don't worry I know how to get rid of great intlectual like hungry.

By posting a lot of unsubstantiated BS, having Hungry shoot it down - for the 100th TIME - and then running away, because he has no logical response to my post.

Yep - he "showed me" alright.

Compare Obama's actions already taken and those he has planned (to have Govt. control everything) are frightfully similar to other Socialistic countries such as Canada and Britain - - and their healthcare, for one is just plain awful.
To ibsteve2u, I'd venturre to guess that you have not been around long enough to see how the world really works -- other than what you've learned in college.

and you really think those two men, caused this all by themselves ?!?!!? Hmmm let's see who held the majority ??
By the way.. you might check out some activities the ACLU support.... ACORN, for one, Media Matters, Huffington Post, and MOST other left-wing groups. They love the hate-mongering that goes on by the left.

Hungry good to see you again!

You never answer my question the last 10 times I posted so I will keep asking until you answer it. You told me several times that our prison system is not designed to be a deterrent and punishment system.

So I will ask you again if two people are driving drunk and both have an accident the first person does not injury any one but himself so he gets a heavy fine and loses his license. The second person had the exact same accident and blew the exact same on the breathalyzer but this person had the unfortunate luck of killing his passenger. He now gets 7-10 years in prison for vehicular manslaughter. So how is that not a "Punishment" based on the results of the crime.

I know for an intellectual like you it is hard to answer such a simple question but please do try.

I've answered you each and every time that you've asked this question, and I'm going to keep responding the EXACT SAME way, whether you like the answer or not:

NO - the penal system is NOT a "punishment" system.

It is a system designed to "rehabilitate" the criminal, for assimilation back into society.

Most criminals look at it as "three hots and a cot" - something that they've NEVER had at ANY point in their lives, free medical, education, counseling, etc, etc, etc, as children or as adults.

Tell me how providing people with opportunities and free benefits is "punishment".

I ask you this EVERY TIME you post this nonsense, and all you do is run away.

Why don't you answer me ONE time, instead of "tucking tail" like you always do?

There's nothing more revolting and more frightening to a citizen of a democracy then to hear the word "calls from Congress" as some kind of surrogate to "due process from Congress to prosecute as the LAW requires them to".

And considering how much I've heard "calls from Congress" in my GOD DAMNED life-time, THIS HAD FREAKING BETTER BE MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE than that. How the legislative body of our government can IGNORE DUE PROCESS AND EQUAL PROTECTION under the law at the SAME GOD DAMNED TIME and let these CRIMINALS WALK is an INTOLERABLE SHOCK to the life-blood and basic function of any democracy. Which is why ours is wasting slowly but surely away. Well, maybe not slowly.

How's that?

By posting nonsense until I walk away shaking my head in disbelief?

That's usually what you do / how it happens.

When oh when will the previous administration quit being the target for diversionary rhetoric ! ! ! ?? Accept the fact that Obama is the resident-in-chief and quit blaming everyone and everything else on someone else. This whole Cheney/CIA fiasco is only an effort to cover queenie Nancy's hide. The program was "secret" - - but not even elevated past the discussion stage.... but some dems decided to tattle-tale, but by doing so, they themselves showed they were or are not trustworthy to keep top secret, secret and disgraced the trust put in them.

Has it occurred to you that it is possible they don't care the slightest bit what you think, one way or the other?

No, I didn't think it had.
