Former VP Had CIA Conceal Program from Congress; New Calls for Investigation of Bush-Era Torture

Makes sense to me. I guess you just need to be a little smarter than the typical liberal to understand. - Reply to this comment
- That's right, Fred! It's NOT a partisan issue! But, Bush-Cheney supporters and Republicans who don't want to see the party take another "hit", are going to work AROUND-the-clock making it one!
That's the reality of it! - Reply to this comment
- You have a very valid point!
After having gotten a 'pass' from Obama and the Democrats, any normal person would have 'zipped their mouth' and lived quietly ever after---
like Bush was initially trying to do--- with good reason!
But, NO! Not Cheney! He's too arrogant! He's got to 'take a mess' on the public AND 'rub our faces in it', too! Instead, he goes out and continues to lie---'spin the truth'---and give 'the hornet's nest' stirred up! So, he's got himself into this!
The Democrats would be TOTALLY justified in reneging on the 'hands-off agreement' they have with the GOP concerning the former administration,
and ACTUALLY do their jobs, AND go after them!
Cheney would have NO ONE TO THANK but himself! And, his big mouth! - Reply to this comment
- Something that is being lost here.....Holder is doing the investigating, going where the evidence takes him, regardless of what the Obama administration wants him to look into or cover up. God knows we haven't had that kind of independence in the AG's office for 8 yrs. He's actually fulfilling his job description rather than being a tool for the Administration to use for propaganda. Gonzales...what a tool!

- Cheney will end up looking stupid, even with no investigation at all, most agree Cheney is on the wrong side of the Law. It will be interesting to find out if Cheney is right, that the Vice President is it's own branch of government! LOL

- That's right. And, that game continues until THEY collapse the system.
But, they better think TWICE. Because THAT'S when the public plays by
THEIR RULES! And, 'payback is a b*i*t*c*h!' - Reply to this comment
- Just put this fascist twit in jail for the mess he has made and the crimes he has committed. Cheney is just a fascist corporate oil pig who has abused the office he stole in 2000. When he is jailed go for his dummy buddyBush-the-worthless, then the rest of the wretched crew of neo-con morons.

- Cheney and that John Yoo, and that Davis Addington think they are above the Law and could manuiplate the the Law as they seen fit and desired, and Ignore the Constitution,, and bill of rights however they see fit, Cheney is nothing more than a LIAR, and Con-Artist, he's so Corrupt he should be considered Dangerous, and locked up permanently, he's part of the reason this country is in the mess its in, and suffering badly, but you'll notice Cheney isn't hurting, and whats worse, we the American Tax Payers from both parties are having to foot the bill for his life long security, how do these criminals get by with this,, to be corrupt and then have security at your side 24/7 ~ ????

- Baggy is espousing rather banal, insipid statements.
Benton, John and Hemi: Keep pumping out the truth!
It's hard for the republicants to swallow and
hate what they see in the mirror.
They are only projecting their unresolved childhood conflicts and intellectual jibberish forward. The biggest critics are 99.9% of the time the biggest hyproctrites. (For the R's who don't know what some of these words mean, look it up in the dictionary) :]
There is a thing called the statute of limitations.
It isn't 24 hours in length, thank GOD!

Repost of proposed country song about our ex-leaders..
Feel free to add your own lyrics if you wish.
Sung in the worst country twang....
Ahem!
George W. Bush, he used to be President......
Now he's Leavenworth, Kansas, he's a permanent resident.....
Him and 'Ol Dick Cheney thought they'd pulled one on us good.....
Now they're sharing space in a place with the boys in the hood......
They made 'em up a war in a far off desert land....
To give their buddies in the oil business a government helping hand....
They killed of four thousand plus soldiers to make Halliburton lots of cash....
When it comes down to it...Bush and Cheney are nothing but oilfield trash....
George said God talked to him and said he should be the leader of the land...
But that was probably Jack Daniels talking, pouring out of his right hand...
Now he's spending his days on the wrong side of prison bars..
Him and O'l Dick Cheney better not be dropping any soap bars!

- Hayden and Bill Clinton are both the same. It depends what you mean by "is"!
Sure! He says Congress was notified, but he doesn't denote individual Democrats, because he knows they weren't!
And, even if he lied and did denote them publically, he knows it wouldn't matter, because he's NOT in a court of law, sworn in, and
under OATH!
So, don't expect to hear the truth from him! - Reply to this comment

Once in a while this regime plants stories like these on the mainstream media to distract the American people from the serious problems we are facing.
A 10% unemployment rate, a 3.8 drop on our GDP, Kim Jong Il launching a cyber attack against the US and South Korea, Iran nuclear ambitions.
The fact of the matter is that our Kenyan-in-chief is lost without direction, he doesnt have a clue how to govern and the only solution is to distract us with old stories.

You call everything this country stands for an old story? That?s pretty good. Next time we'll let Dictator George and the PNAC Mafia flush the Constitution and the Geneva Conventions all the way down the Toilet bowl so we'll never have to worry about this again. - Reply to this comment

Yea, I bet it's Obama's fault it rains on a parade in Hoboken
and for the small boats that sink in lakes in Minnesota too.
Shrub and the Republicants screwed the pooch, emptied the treasury and have short term memory.

- We are no longer 'a nation of laws'! But, 'a nation of men/women'!
WHO, 'make up' the law from minute to minute, day to day, year to year!
Until such time, that the Democrats get off their 'keesters', keep their words, and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
And, that means MORE THAN ENDLESS investigations that go NO WHERE and are eventually dropped! THAT, itself represents abuse of authority! - Reply to this comment
- Why not give him a RED one to match the colors of Halliburton. Let's make him a special criminal. Bush may want YELLOW, for his great service during the Vietnam War.

- This is one big cover-up. The ACLU has already put out the Autopsy reports from the Department of Defense and you've got a stack of bodies that are labeled Homicide / beaten to death. These were innocent people being held in Bush's secret prisons without charge or trial and tortured to death. There were even senate hearings with Jerrold Nadler on the confirmation of detainee murders. I think Bush and Cheney should take the fall for all of this. If it wasn't for them none of this would've happened. I'll tell ya one thing, if they let this go it'll destroy everything this country stands for. http://www.youtube.com/watchv=8o7dQ0sSr9c

- and you really think those two men, caused this all by themselves ?!?!!? Hmmm let's see who held the majority ??
By the way.. you might check out some activities the ACLU support.... ACORN, for one, Media Matters, Huffington Post, and MOST other left-wing groups. They love the hate-mongering that goes on by the left.
