if the Muslim World had a button that said erase the US... they would all start a war against each other for the right to push it. barbaric... there's a reason most people over there still live on dirt. There's not much love between the two sides... i dont see why we have to act like there is.

Since he is not the leader of the Arab world, much less the Muslim world, isn't President Obama's proper role to explain what US interests are?

He ought to present our positions forcefully to Arab leaders and tell them what we expect from them and what their countries might get from us in return for their cooperation. To those Arab nations that play the oil card, he ought to offer the suggestion that the petroleum era may be drawing to its close.

I'm not holding my breath waiting for candor from the Pres.; this mission seems to be about papering over problems. But goodwill gestures are not going to persuade Hamas, Hezbollah, those who heed Zawahiri or bin Laden and others of the same ilk. If even just 1% of the Arab world supports terror or sympathizes with terrorists, that is 3 million who won't be reached at all by merely rhetorical flourishes.

I wonder why cBSnews doesn't quote Obama when he said Tuesday that "if you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, we'd be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world".

Forget the fact that the numbers of Muslims in the US make Obama a liar in his statement, tell me, how can he make a statement like that and it not be in the American press?

U.S. President Barack Obama is a friendly person with a friendly agenda and wants the United States as a whole to adopt this posture. If the nations of the World want to realize and enjoy peace, here is your opportunity, embrace this guy!

Will he get down on his knees before the Saudi King this time or just the bow again? I know he is going to apologize for something to the muslims. I would suspect the speech will start out "My brothers, I have come to embrace you and tell you what a bad country America is..."

President Barack Obama reiterated that Iran may have some right to nuclear energy _ provided it takes steps to prove its aspirations are peaceful.

In a BBC interview broadcast Tuesday, Obama also restated plans to pursue direct diplomacy with Tehran to encourage it to set aside any ambitions for nuclear weapons it might harbor.

Iran has insisted its nuclear program is aimed at generating electricity. But the U.S. and other Western governments accuse Tehran of seeking atomic weapons.

are you kidding me?! after all these years of trying to keep nukes out of the hands of these wackely irarians obama says, " if they want nukes, let them have nukes".
this is change i can't believe in!
it's like the usa trusting russia during the cold war. very dumb!

I hope Obama doesn't bow down to any of these Muslim leaders. We in America fought in 1776 so that we wouldn't have to bow down to the English King..Talk about going back in time....Obama has nominated many Republicans for various offices in our government. I don't know why when they did everything they could to keep him from being elected our President. I don't know who he is trying to impress but we will not vote for Obama again because he said he would bring the troops home and instead he has sent more troops into war...another President who never served in the military...I think our country will have a depression that will make the 1929-1930's look like a picnic and I think it will happen within the next 6 months. All the auto plants closing is just going to tip the scales into the negative or as my father used to say...the car has already drove off the cliff...& we are all inside of it.....

According to all major Polls , the people of the World are very happy to see the Republicans out of office. But here in America the people are extremely Happy. We must all work together and make sure to never allow them back in office. Everybody found out just how Bigoted and Hateful they are last week with Sotomayor.

"Reaching out" to a pagan idol god "allah", is no different than reaching out to Satan himself.

Mubarak's Egypt is seen by many as an oppressive police state.

That's because he was put in power by muslim terrorists. Mubarak IS the product of devout, radical muslims.

I should add that those who despise Mubarak have no one to blame but themselves if they try to counter Mubarak by embracing the same parties that put him in power in the first place. And if they suffer from an oppressive police state...it is what they deserve.
