Where is the US Navy? Are our Marines prohibited from going after African pirates? Why do the Canadians have to save our bacon?

Every time there there is a pirate attack we should destroy a port city on the Somali coast with saturation bombing from B-52s. Why even get our hands dirty? Blow them back to the freakin' stone age.

In the past month-and-a-half, pirates aren't getting away, even those released by NATO ships. They are being re-captured and many are ALREADY serving 20year sentences in a Somaliland prison. Anti-piracy efforts are underway that aren't being reported on.

Why did not the helicopters sink the pirates or follow them back to the mother ship and sink them all. There must be some lawyers involved in this operation who do not want to get sued. This piracy business could be put sleep very quickly.

Have you all noticed that the reported incidence of pirate attacks have decreased substantially??

It's no accident.

if our government had been living up to the oath of office- the pub servants in the government that is- then the government would have been asserting for decades that the second amendment applies to americans WHERE EVER WE HAPPEN TO BE. Flying NY to LA, flying LA to moscow or beijing... sailing, being aboard merchant vessels- touring mecca!! It would also make concealed carry permits valid planet wide. But no- for some reason, for decades, the milquetoast **** allow europeans tell them what Americanism is! traitors!!!

Hmmm...

Any type of hostile act by alleged pirates should be met with full retaliation, with clear intent to do bodily harm?

If the Pirates are firing on on cargo ships , no need to fire warning shots. Sink them...

If I were firing rocket propelled grenades at ships in the US ,or Canada, would the police or Navy not shoot back ?Seems the war on terror only trashes the rights of US citizens, the "Patriot Act" ended the bill of rights for all US citizens-HOPELESS!!!!!
