Murtha is a crook. He took a deal to get out of Abscam (probably ratting out others), he's taking my tax dollars to his district and contributors to use as pork, and he's a traitor. I hope those brave Marines sue his butt into oblivion. Oh, and yes, he's part of the "most ethical Congress ever" run by DEMOCRATS.

Nice try, Russ. There are also "heads" of minority caucuses, committees and other groups unrelated to the Democrat party.

And your post makes the gigantic leap that the people of this country are mildly informed. The fact that this empty suit, radical, extremist marxist got elected on the basis of packaging and marketing makes it abundantly clear that they are not -- particularly the youth vote.

Throw in the fact that the country has put a freak show in charge of Congress (Frank, Schumer, Pelosi, Reid, Rangel, Kennedy, Byrd, et al) and it's pretty obvious the voters are rather uninformed. Truth is, Saul Alinsky-in-chief and his merry band of Bolsheviks currently in the process of wrecking the country have COUNTED on that fact, and want to keep it that way.

And let's be honest -- if this were a Republican, that fact would be noted in the headline, rather than going totally unmentioned. This is not unusual -- this is standard fare for the corrupt leftist media.

Not my person {OBAMA<PELOSI>GEITNER<REID< }} The fault is bush and his govt . so we can be as corrupt as we want to be since you fools voted for US >>

Excuse me, but can someone at See BS explain why Murtha is not identified as a Democrat?

Or is this yet another episode of the media playing "Name That Party"?

It appears the media is finally targeting this dirt bag. After ignoring his flagarant disrespect for the military and the many complaints from Veteran's groups, they finally have zeroed in on him. They realize his time is numbered and will be out of office soon, so they are jumping on to a bandwagon they can support (anti-defense contractor - hate the military also). They would never say anything negative about him while he was trashing the military. Now, when they see he is weak, they are now positioning themselves so they can say, "see, we agree with you."
I have seen this many, many times before. If you think ABC is supporting you now, they are only looking out for their own goals of destroying the military and this great nation.

This common criminal has hidden behind his uniform long enough. Would someone in the political arena with some testicular fortitude call this guy to the mat on his treasonous accusations towards the military and his criminal behavior so lightly touched upon in this article? FYI Sharyl, MURTHA IS A DEMOCRAT.

This current crop of politicians is just about the worst I've ever seen. I think they are actually worse than the Carter administration. Both parties are to blame but the democrats seem to have cornered the market on political corruption in Washington. They've had the purse since 2006 and if you happen to look at an accurate timeline you'll notice that since the democrats have been running Congress, we've been headed for a collision. I'm not letting the republicans off the hook on this either. The Bush administration wasn't exactly stellar in their approach to the financial situatuation either. There are only maybe 10 good politicians in Washington, and the rest need to be retired immediately. No more lawyers for politicians, and term limits are a MUST! None of these politicians have ever had a real job in their lives, so how can they even understand the plight of the American citizen? THEY CAN"T!

Maybe Murtha's Airport to Nowhere could link up with the Bridge to Nowhere. Will that be one way or round trip?

Until we insist on real campaign finance reform, our government will always be for sale to the highest bidders.

CBSNews..........I believe that you are on to something BIG, don't stop looking. Concurrent Technologies Corp. is setup as a "nonprofit organization", with all the tax advantages that come with that status. Also, as a nonprofit, their 990 Tax Return is available for public viewing online. Just checked it out. Amazing! It lists the names, titles and earnings/benefits of 15 "Current Officers, Directors, Trustees, and Employees" all making over $250,000 annually. Of which, the top 5 are over $500,000; including the top guy at over $1,000,000. Not a bad living for Johnstown, PA!
Also, how can this be a "nonprofit"? Doesn't sound like your typical homeless shelter.

I lived in CA when we voted in term limits. Instead of having the desired results, these pigs simply play musical chairs so the voters NEVER get rid of them. Just look at the condition of the State to see the results.

So now we can add Murtha, Jane Harmon, Dianne Feinstein to a long and growing list of corrupt leftists.

This follows on the heels of corruption by the likes of Charles Rangel, Elliot Spitzer, Alan Hevesi, Jim McGreevy, William Jefferson, Sharpe James, Kwame Kilpatrick, Sandy Burglar, Franklin Raines, Tony Rezco, ACORN, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Kent Conrad, Harry Reid, constant union corruption, sales of judgeships, greedy trial lawyer pigs, and every tax cheat, Ponzi schemer, plagiarist and crook in the Administration of Barack O'Rezco.

Not to mention the ongoing disgrace of having killers, KKKers and leakers as Senate LEADERS (ie, Kennedy, Byrd, Leahy).

Can the leftist media now stop pretending not to notice the true "culture of corruption" that has enveloped our political class? If Duke Cunningham, Mark Foley and "Macaca" represented a "culture of corruption" in 2006, what on earth do we call this parade of crooks, freaks and criminals?

The biggest problem with John Murtha (besides that he's John Murtha, the most corrupt politician since...well, EVER) is that he CAN'T be voted out. We've had some good candidates, extremely well funded, and with impressive ground games. The latest, Bill Russell, had more "boots on the ground"--mine included--than you could imagine for a congressional race, yet barely made a dent in the Murtha Machine. He can't be voted out, he can't be shamed out (or he'd have been gone ages ago) and it seems nobody will prosecute him out...so what is left?

What's bad is that this is far from a unique situation. That's why THIS IS THE TIME FOR RESISTANCE. Real Americans are fed up. We need to take our country back, we need to do it now, and we need to get organized for that to happen.

Here's where it all begins.

I SAW THIS STORY LAST NIGHT AND IT MADE ME SICK.

Murtha's Earmarks Keep Airport Aloft
State-of-the-Art Pennsylvania Facility Sees Few Travelers but Lots of Funding

By Carol D. Leonnig
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, April 19, 2009

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -- The John Murtha airport sits on a windy mountain two hours east of Pittsburgh, a 650-acre expanse of smooth tarmac, spacious buildings, a helicopter hangar and a National Guard training center.

Inside the terminal on a recent weekday, four passengers lined up to board a flight, outnumbered by seven security staff members and supervisors, all suited up in gloves and uniforms to screen six pieces of luggage. For three hours that day, no commercial or private planes took off or landed. Three commercial flights leave the airport on weekdays, all bound for Dulles International Airport.

The key to the airport's gleaming facilities -- and, indeed, its continued existence -- is $200 million in federal funds in the past decade and the powerful patron who steered most of that money here. Rep. John P. Murtha (D-Pa.) is credited with securing at least $150 million for the airport. It was among the first in the country to win funding from this year's stimulus package: $800,000 to repave a backup runway.

DOESN'T IT MAKE MORE SENSE FOR FEDERAL DOLLARS TO GO TO FACILITIES THAT SERVE THE MOST PEOPLE?
