- I guess Jim Croce was right:
"The South side of chicago
Is the baddest part of town
and if you go down there
You best beware...." - Reply to this comment

Another day of more of your bullsh*t. How about the kids that are stuck in these places? They're not exactly there by choice. While many do try to get out as they get older, many are too ingrained with that way of life to know anything else and a new generation of problems take over. I would bet that most of the upstanding good people that live and work and raise their children in these places, would like to be somewhere else. But they may not have the means to do so. So f*ck off and spew your tired sh*t somewhere else
Its a tough world out there. Maybe there parents or parent for that matter should have thought of it. - Reply to this comment

- The reason people are pointing the finger at Obama is because other than being a short term Senator being a "Community Organizer" in these communities in Chicago was his only accomplishment and the only thing used to show his leadership skills. It is obvious his leadership failed in Chicago and is failing in the US. George Bush was roasted by the Libs for running a failed oil company. Even though he was a success at running the Texas Rangers organization and as the Texas Govenor. This was the ONLY thing Obama had ever run and it failed.

- Some of you authors are hilarious...blame Bush and the Conservatives...blame Obama and the Liberals...it is a good thing to blame the whole doggone mess, get rid of both parties and start over. Revisit the Founding Fathers designs, and get rid of the sycophantic parvenu's living the high life in D.C. Hmmmm, maybe even with technology the way it is, we could make the so called representatives stay in their home states and conduct business via technology...the way the rest of us function these days. Give them two trips a year to D.C., and the rest of the time they are where they can actually be held accountable by constituents. What a novel idea said Ollie!

- The following are ideas that may help solve the problems of Chicago.
According to Newton?s Laws of physics. For every action there is like reaction. Then there is the momentum effect. Sometimes, Newton?s laws seem to work for emotions as well. There can be goodwill. There can be hate. These emotions sometimes seem to work between individuals, groups of people, or between nations.
General Petraeus seem to have included this concept when it comes to the Iraq War. Walls were built in 2007 that seem to help. However, he stated ?the people of Iraq need to see the troops as a force that really wants to help the people of Iraq.? He added troops to the task of helping and rebuilding Iraq to succeed.
There is a human phenomenon that seems to work. Getting away from your neighborhood to learn is more effective than trying to teach people where they live. There should be programs expanded at the Peace Corps. The military has a presence all over the world. There are very poor areas of the world with no clean water systems. The city should partner with the military and expand new ?work in vacation? programs for the youth of disadvantaged neighborhoods in Chicago. Perhaps the military could fly the youth to areas of the world to work on projects to better everyone?s lives. This way the youth of the inner city could see how good we have it in this country. In the meantime, Military personnel could begin a new mentoring relationship with the youth in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
City officials should begin a new program to ask people of the inner city for ideas to improve their neighborhood, ideas for new businesses and other ideas to solve community problems. Perhaps full ride scholarships to colleges could be awarded for winning ideas to people. Out of 200 ideas, 2 may become winners that could transform this great nation. This contest could be advertised on flyers posted on telephone poles in these neighborhoods. This way you include a glimmer of hope that perhaps a person could be just one idea from big opportunities.
These are ideas that may help solve the problems of Chicago. - Reply to this comment

- DefendLiberty,
Chicago was Obama's community outreach turf and he was a state senator for Illinois for a number of years and then US Senator (not that he really did his job, too much campaigning) for two more years. YES, he is at least partly responsible for Southside Chicago! - Reply to this comment
- It has worked very successfully with the blacks, now with amnesty for the 20 to 30 million, invading illegal aliens alone with chain immigration for their relatives & their relatives in an never ending chain means within a few years over 200 million , uneducated, welfare loving, gang joining, fast breeding Hispanics! This combined with the black population and you have an Socialist Third World Welfare state, controlled lock, stock and barrel by the Democrat party!
Long live the Dear Leaders Obama, Reid & Nancy!
