The truth is, the only reason this guy received all of this money and never bought one stock is everyone took him at his word. The reason they gave him all of that money, took his word, gave him (millions and millions) and never questioned him,,,,is because he's white and appeared to be rich. This guy filed taxes every year and no one ever questioned this company? Why didn;t anyone hold him accountable until the cash was gone? Because he is white. There are two sets of rules in this Country. That's a lesson for us all, white and black. People are people. Some are nice, and some are crooks in every race and every occupation. Where there is no accountability, criminals thrive. Don't get upset at this By no means am I trying to be cruel. It's just true.

Madoff was turned in to the SEC in 2000, on Clinton's watch. The SEC did nothing.

This precluded Bush from doing anything, because then it would be double jeopardy.

All those charities that lost money can thank Bill Clinton for doing nothing about Madoff when he had the chance.

Last I checked, Clinton wasn't the president in 2001, 2003, 2005, or 2007 when the SEC was warned that Madoff was running a ponzi scheme.

But go ahead and exonerate Bush, if masquerading the truth makes you feel better.

Double Jeopardy only applies to actual convictions, not investigations. He could have been investigated a thousand times, but can only be convicted once.

This will be the carrot that Madoff will offer to stay out of jail. He may be publicly saying no one else was involved, but don't be surprised when he starts singing, how many are going to fall. There is no way he acted alone. This is just too big.
