CBS Evening News: Anger Growing Over How Much Taxpayers Will Fund Family With 14 Kids
- Did she pay for the in vitro? Medicare & Medicaid don''t pay for in vitro. When you receive food stamps, you''re not allowed to have more than a small amount of money. So, if she had money to pay for in vitro and received food stamps, that''s criminal fraud. Hope someone checks into this.

- Only a mentally ill person would do this to herself, all who are worried about her mental state need to realize the children may not be safe in her care. Public assistance is just that assistance for those who use it as a means of support for a life time... that is wrong, these children should be givin to good homes, there are many many couples out there who would love to have just one baby and be finacially able to provide for it, do not reward this woman with money and more assistance, that will only give ideas to others who would like to make a living off of public assistance programs in a BIG way!!

- whada''''ya mean google it? what is it and what does it say (in a nutshell)? cause if it talks about how we should show tolerance and patience over her trials and
tribulations, I''''m not even considering pulling it up - huge difference between ''''trials and tribulations vs self inflicted stupidity and burden to an entire system you don''''t even pay in to

It%u2019s not %u201Ctrials and tribulations, it%u2019s %u201CTrials and Tributations'''' just a play on words and it tells the entire story of this conniving woman. Worth a read.

- Am I the only one thinking we are creating a monster here, how many other young wanna be mothers will see this as a way to get all you want from the tax payers... I say the dr. who placed the embroys should be the one to help pay for this, not the innocent taxpayers. As for the mother.. dont reward stupid behavior, make the dr''s responsible and see how often it happens again!!!

- She needs to be incarcerated in an institution for the criminally insane.
The doctor who performed the in vitro procedure should be made to support these 8 kids and possibly all 14.
This is totally disgraceful and disgusting. - Reply to this comment
- There seem to be alot of immigrant families who think the american social welfare agencies are a huge rich pig trough to feed at, and there is a bottomless pit of money for them.

- People who apply for assistance like workers compensation - who are not actually hurt, or food stamps, and medicaid and continue having more babies that they can''t afford should be criminally charged with defrauding the taxpayers. Pressing criminal charges is the only way parasites like Nadya will get the message that we we no longer tolerate scammers, living off our taxdollars. Her children should be given up to responsible parents who are not looney and frauds.

- My grandparents would have starved to death and died before they accepted "charity". It appears it has become an industry. When I worked in inner city Detroit moms had kids to bring in more welfare so they could buy dope. Now through modern technology you can boost that money up to some serious bucks. There needs to be a system of oversight. FDR never intended the welfare system to be used for this purpose.

- Or if you don''''''''t think you should have to foot MY bills all by yourself, you can get together with all the other taxpayers and each of you can just send me $10,000.
There''''''''s nothing at all wrong with me expecting that of you and everyone else, is there?

no kiddin'' - just a million in delivery alone the hospitals are demanding from medicaid - think of all the children who will receive substandard treatment over this mess - then she has the gall to actually set up a website, asking for money/donations, which she of course will get, AND a TV show about raising children! obviously unsexed (don''t know about you but when we were trying to get pregnant, practice, practice, practice was a huge bonus! LOL) unmarried, no house, no job - yep...sounds like the perfect rolemodel...for an aspiring welfare recepient. what''s next? donations for her mommy makeover surgery? - Reply to this comment

- You with your celebrity job have no right to judge a woman, or any woman, without enough money to get by, for whatever reason. Shame on you.

The more I consider your post the angrier I get - Shame on you for being so manipulative of the system -your quote of ''for whatever reason'' and mattjt1 saying ''she didn''t do anything wrong'' draws the sword of contempt that is a slap in the face to those who pay into the system via their, as you put it ''celebrity jobs'' who are turned away from benefits due to the likes of you, who would rather not miss rosie odonnell as you feed your brood a really healthy staple of cheetos and coke for breakfast - Reply to this comment
- cindyrocks62,
Since you are so okay with this, I''''m going to quit my job and get implanted with 6-8 embryos so I can fulfill my selfish desire to have as many children as I can get someone ELSE to pay for.
Would you please mail me a check for $3million so I can do that??? (Which is a more accurate estimate than the $1.5million suggested.)
Or if you don''''t think you should have to foot MY bills all by yourself, you can get together with all the other taxpayers and each of you can just send me $10,000.

- Cindyrocks62. what right does an unemployed, unmarried woman who has lived off the dole for years have bring 8 more babies into the world after also having 6;3 of whom age disabled and receiving social security.
If you have followed this saga from the beginning you would understand that she is not mentally fit to raise any of her children.
Chances of her even receiving more loans for her master%u2019s degree are slim since she has admitted to using part of her first $50,000.00 for IVF. She was hoping to rely on her babies to bring in enough perks to keep her set for life.
She has also admitted that she wouldn%u2019t have been able to care for the first 6 children if it hadn%u2019t been for her mother who she has not given a dime. - Reply to this comment
- This morning one of your reporters quoted Ms. Soleman as saying that her relying on food stamps is only temporary and your reporter went on to say "we''re going to hold her to that". Who are you to give this woman requirements? We are blessed to live in a country whose government will help those in need, for whatever reason they need that help, and thank God for that. Woman who have needed this help have always been judged harshly by others. You with your celebrity job have no right to judge a woman, or any woman, without enough money to get by, for whatever reason. Shame on you.

not true - thre used to be some pride in this country and people would do anything they could to avoid welfare, now there''s too much ''why SHOULD i work if the government will pay me not to'' this woman already had 3 out of 6 SN kids, no job, work comp for a back injury, yet she could carry that mass around? she is taking from the people who''ve just lost their incomes due to recession and have paid into that system - she has done nothing but take advantage of the system and the women you speak of who have been scorned are probably just like her. - Reply to this comment
