CBS Evening News: Anger Growing Over How Much Taxpayers Will Fund Family With 14 Kids
- This woman is a hazard to all the children she produces.
Posted by ltthomas13 at 01:42 AM : Feb 13, 2009
You have no knowledge of what kind of mother she will be and are in no position to pass judgment on her or to assess her mental condition. Please leave that to experts who have training and actually talk with her. There are way too many cruel and stupid comments here.
Posted by libra217 at 01:51 AM : Feb 13, 2009
The experts have stated that she is mentally unstable has a history of mental illness (depression, on suicide watch) and at one point, could not even care for her first child. They also say that even with her Masters degree and a good job, with so many children, she will still be at the poverty level. They estimate she will make at most in CA--60K a year and that alone would not even cover childcare for all of those kids.
So the "experts" are basically saying that she is a hazard to her kids. It is noted that she only seems interested in her 8 new kids and actually had not seen her other 6 for 2 months. But after getting out of the hospital, her first action was to go to a tv interview and get a publicist--NOT see those babies she likes making. - Reply to this comment
- Did this woman and her Dr. break any laws? None known.
Now, California should take a closer look, as well as those empowered with running the economy, at each and every illegal person (lawbreaker) who gives birth in this country (that child automatically becomes a US citizen given all the welfare benefits.
Direct the anger where it belongs...at lawmakers who refuse to think "population control" via birth limits.
This topic would send some religious leaders into a tailspin as they encourage "reproduction" as a means of increasing their doctorine membership.

- anewlynn,
regarding the so called mysterious father and/or fathers the last man she was living with fled to Iraq so he wouldn''''t have to pay child support,

Dear Lord...please save US and the rest of the country from ignorant posters.
She lived with her mom and dad and it was Nadya''s MOM who was raising the kids, while Nadya did whatever. It was Nadya''s DAD who went back to Iraq.
1. Nadya was divorced before she ever sought any IVF treatments. She claimed in an interview to have worked for a long time at a psych hosp (double shifts) to pay for the IVF treatments.
3. she changed the story to saying she used her gov. paid benefits later.
4. She claimed her benefits stopped last year. But she also said the IVF cost about 100K. She got payments for about 9 years. 168/9 means she got about 1200.00/month for 9 years.
5. She was too disabled to work, but not to drive, go to school full time and get a college degree, and repeatedly get impregnated.
6. She does not seem to pay or even acknowledge her medical bills (she thinks it is not welfare to get food stamps or use Medicaid to pay for her IVF adventures)
As for the "dad" on birth cert--the name is Dave Soloman for the dad. Which happens to be the Anglicized version of her own dad''s name. It is her dad who went back to Iraq. Her own dad may be the "donor" for these kids and left to avoid a DNA test. - Reply to this comment
- Harbinger09 this just keeps getting better and better she%u2019s like a spoiled child trapped in the body of a 33 year old. I really hope that she is thoroughly investigated for fraud.
%u201CNadya Suleman told RadarOnline.com exclusively that she has signed an exclusive representation deal with noted Nashville agent Wes Yoder.
"I''m dealing exclusively with Wes," Nadya told us. He is handling everything for me, and if you want anything you have to call Wes.
We did Call Wes and he confirmed he is now representing Nadya at the "recommendation of a friend who asked that they get involved."
Wes says rumors of a book deal and reality show are not true. But Wes said, Nadya did sign an exclusive photo deal with Polaris photo agency.
Yoder is president of Ambassador Artist Agency in Nashville and handled PR for the McCaughey septuplets, born in Carlisle, Iowa in 1997. Coincidentally those septuplets were an exclusive Ann Curry interview for NBC. But, says Yoder, Curry was not the "friend" who recommended him.
"We have an exclusive deal with Nadya and are providing comprehensive representation using a coordinated philosophy," Wes says.%u201D - Reply to this comment
- Also, this quack did not do is job for free. There has to be a hidden agenda behind his purpose of implanting her.

...and Kaiser''s for treating her and birthing the babies--like making medical history. Several things stand out--the media blitz held by Kaiser bragging that they had successfully delivered the octuplets and that these are the longest surviving set of 8 children EVER in the US. They probably thought it was great press.
But what stands out is Nadya bragging while she was pregnant that she was "being paid to have the babies"
paid by whom? Then there is the problem with her having a really bad back, ignoring doctor''s advice and using government money to pay for the IVF after her doctors told her pregnancies only made her back worse...then there is the little problem with her being able to go to school full time, drive, study, etc--and get a degree when supposedly she was too disabled to work.
We all know sit down jobs like secretarial or clerical work--where driving there and typing and filing are the mainstay of the job. If she could do all of that for a degree--then she was not that disabled and should not have collected benefits let alone spent the money to make more babies she could not afford.
Note: Arnold and CA are refusing to pay the MediCal bill for the babies--maybe they smell a rat in Kaiser too. - Reply to this comment
- "A family Web site was created to solicit outside donations. But they''re also getting death threats, said her publicist in a radio interview."
the Publicist company representing Nadya is stepping down--now--Nadya has an agent. Guess when you just give birth to 8 kids and have 6 more at home and you only want what is best--the talkshow circuit and the media are the way to go--just to show that you care.
The company claims they are stepping down due to death threats against them and Nadya. I seriously doubt that. I consider the many new moves to boycott the other companies that they represent and the potential loss of clients is more the reason to let Nadya go. After all, the rest of the clients are a "sure thing" and Nadya may or may not end up being a cash cow.
People are posting all the companies that are thus far helping Nadya as well as lists of this Publicity companies clientele---we all know that the creed is greed--when Nadya starts affecting their bottom line, they decided to back off. So now, the Welfare mom with 14 children under the age of 8 needs an agent to promote her. - Reply to this comment
- For once I agree with crzmeat1, there should be a lot more sympathy for this poor woman. I''''m sure she did not want octuplets and only agreed with the doctor''''s plan because she mistakenly believed that he was a competent, sensible fertility specialist

Do some research on this and you%u2019ll change your mind she already had 6 children by IVF, 3 are disabled and on SS plus she has no income and is living off of the taxpayers dime. Just because she%u2019s an Angelina Jolie wannable who is mentally ill doesn%u2019t mean a quack doctor should have implanted more embryos in her. And she decided that she wanted to have all of the embryos implanted, the treatments were paid for with her student loan money. I hope they remove the 8 babies from her she%u2019s not a fit mother.
The more I read about her and the more interviews I have watched really proves she is mentally unstable and completely clueless, plus did anyone tell her that the cash donations were not for expensive electronic toys?
I don%u2019t believe a word that comes out of her mouth, - Reply to this comment

- While I believe the mother may need psychiatric help in order to understand this ''need'' for o many children, the real fault here is with the doctor who implanted those embryos, knowing she already had 6 children at home.
We need to put a stop to doctors using people to push the limits of science in the name of their own fame.
I feel badly for all of them: the mother, the kids, and the taxpayers. What a mess. - Reply to this comment

I have worked all my life. About 20 years ago, during another economic decline, I lost my job. I was single, and although I was eligible for Unemployment, I was, for the first time in my life, without medical insurance. This was in California. I called the local welfare office and asked if I was eligible for Medical. They sent me a bundle of documents to fill out and made me an appointment. I filled out the paperwork and on the day of my appointment I showed up to a waiting room full of every ethnic group known to man (I am caucasion). When my name was called, I was aske two questions: are you over 65 (no) and do you have school age children at home (no). Not eligible. I''ve paid taxes all my life and I couldn''t even get Medical. - Reply to this comment

- P.S. to cindyrock62,
This woman is not "in NEED".....she''s in WANT. Big difference.
She didn''t just suddenly find herself with 14 children and no way to support them.....she actively sought them out and created them, KNOWING IN ADVANCE that she had no way to pay for them and that others would have to do it instead.
That''s NOT what any government is for. - Reply to this comment
- Cindyrock62,
Since you insist on posting your same comment over and over again, I''m going to repost my prior to you. Please answer it ASAP. I really need that check from you!!!!:

cindyrocks62,
Since you are so okay with this, I''m going to quit my job and get implanted with 6-8 embryos so I can fulfill my selfish desire to have as many children as I can get someone ELSE to pay for.
Would you please mail me a check for $3million so I can do that??? (Which is a more accurate estimate than the $1.5million suggested.)
Or if you don''t think you should have to foot MY bills all by yourself, you can get together with all the other taxpayers and each of you can just send me $10,000.
There''s nothing at all wrong with me expecting that of you and everyone else, is there? - Reply to this comment
- We need to abolish the welfare state and Nadya Suleman will be the kindling that gets the fire going on this important issue.

- This morning one of your reporters quoted Ms. Soleman as saying that her relying on food stamps is only temporary and your reporter went on to say "we''re going to hold her to that". Who are you to give this woman requirements? We are blessed to live in a country whose government will help those in need, for whatever reason they need that help, and thank God for that. Woman who have needed this help have always been judged harshly by others. You with your celebrity job have no right to judge a woman, or any woman, without enough money to get by, for whatever reason. Shame on you.

- I think it is disgusting that this woman will now feed for ANOTHER 18 years at the public trough, because if she is stupid enough to think she will be able to go back to school and get her worthless azz off food stamps and assistance, I would some of whatever she is smoking. Her own monther has already said that the woman cannot and will not care for the FIRST 6 kids, let alone add 8 more to the mix. The doctor involved in this should have his license yanked and should have to pay to support these kids for life, not the poor taxpayers of California, who are already in a horrible financial situation. The Bible says to "go forth, be fruitful and multiply" but it doesn''t tell one person to do it all - having a litter like this is just plain selfish.
