- CloverNYC: By chance do you have any addictions? Can`t get through Thursday evenings without watching Survivor? Drive angry? Eat too much Rocky Road on the weekend? I`m sure there`s something. So why don`t you leave the rest of us alone? If a smoker (or crack addict) is blowing smoke in your face, then take it up with that person who is not ME.

Yes I do have one addiction... laughing my socks off at the stupidity of people like you.
Continue to miss the point Missy. There is no law against being aggressively misinformed. - Reply to this comment
- I say we also go for a farrting ban in all public buildings. My brother would be a great source of revenue for the city because he would be constantly getting fined. When he let''s one of "Old Milwaukee, cheap bar taco & broccoli with cheese" gas bombs go, people get immediately sick.
Remember, smoking may make you sick over a long time, but an accomplished farrter will make you sick on the spot! Far more dangerous!! - Reply to this comment

- I find it interesting that obesity has surpassed smoking in causes of death in the united states, yet you don''t see them banning candy from pharmacies. If you''re going to say it''s because of health reasons, then the pharmacies shouldn''t sell candy either, since too much of it is a health risk. Or soda for that matter!

- Why are smokers being stereotyped here? You''d think I had one foot in the grave. The truth is, I smoke. The truth also is that, other than routine check ups and testing, it''s been years since I''ve been to a doctor or hospital because I was sick. I''ve had years when I had no sick days and no medical insurance claims. My co-workers, who love to *** and moan about smokers, are sick all the time. Maybe it''s ******** and moaning that''s doing it to them. Can we ban ******** and moaning too? No ******** and moaning in bars or drugstores.

- I can''t believe I am actually about to agree with gwweloveyou, but I am. There are plenty of things that we do to our bodies that we shouldn''t, but it needs to be our choice.
I agree with smoking bans in public to protect non-smokers, especially children. However, trying to drive cigar bars out of business isn''t about protecting non-smokers...who wouldn''t even patronize a cigar bar. It''s about legislating a personal choice.
Anyone remember the sci-fi movie Demolition Man? The only music allowed was wholesome commercial jingles. No cussing. No meat. No fluid transfer (aka sexual intercourse). And a trip to Taco Bell involved a couple of dribbles of sauce and a piece of asparagus. - Reply to this comment
- And if you are listening to your media and all these reports of lung cancer from smoking. Wonder how most of my relatives smoked and lived long happy lives with no problems from smoking? If you think you have a problem, you will. I personally don''t listen and believe everything I hear.
