- I just had a colposcopy done to determine if my "abnormal Pap was pre- cancerous or just abnormal due to HPV, thank the universe it was just due to the presence of HPV. I have been looking into Gardasil for a few weeks now and I can honestly say thank you ladies for your stories. Without them I would be making the same mistakes. My mother has spoken of disasters from this vaccine but i had no idea. I am 22 same age as one of the "lucky" skeptics on here,I do have HPV,it doesn't do anything to me other than show up as abnormal on my pap, it doesn't cause cancer(my type)after two years (per my physician) my body will recognize it and be immune to my type. I am glad I have not risked my life for a media induced frenzy of a hoax vaccine. I regularly exercise, do not smoke and eat very well for a college student. I have never had any real health issues..never even had the flu (which in the mountains this year is unbelievable)...Very similar to other stories here..If you think your right "ms. Lucky" because you don't have any side effects, you need to open your eyes and read how many stories just on this little insignificant blog are contradictory to your "facts".If you were so worried about HPV(primarily passed through sexual intercourse) maybe you should have stopped sleeping around instead of injecting yourself with deadly drugs.....why endanger your life over every little concocted disease the CDC and FDA throw out..remember restless leg syndrome..give me a break. drink some water and eat right, your "fidgeting" will go away. Oh or how about how every other tv commercial is about some kind of acne treatment..did you ever think that all the grease in the fast food you eat causes poor skin quality. If you eat right and exercise there is nothing for your body to react negatively to. If your that worried about cancers... cancers cannot grow in a neutral body. Calcium..in pill form not milk( your just drinking more hormones and vaccines given to the cows) will contribute to keeping your body neutral and calcine. Cancers are less likely to form....
i cannot express the gratitude of you all sharing your experiences and losses. My heart is with you that have lost daughters and ones that have fallen ill. I will continue to share these stories with other women my age. Thank you again. I have not gotten the vaccine and will not. I truly feel the only way to help others thinking about this vaccine is to tell your stories...if it wasn't for you all I might be in the same position as your daughters. - Reply to this comment
- My daughter had her first gardasil shot. When it was time for her second shot she was in the hospital having her appendex out. She still has problems with her stomach. vomiting diarhea pains so forth.
I believe this is caused from the shot. She won't be getting 2 and 3.
She also feels faint at times.

- I have had all 3 shots and am just fine. I'm 22 years old, don't exercise, am a smoker, drink alcohol, and have been just fine. Maybe you only hear about the bad side affects of this drug because no one thinks to comment if they are doing just fine. And if anything, this vaccine won't kill people, it's the body's immune system reacting to the antibodies and inadvertently attacking and killing itself. Side effects and reactions are completely all on an individual basis. I would advise not getting it so young since childrens' immune systems are not fully developed. The flu vaccine has horrible side effects in a small number of people as well. If you do research into anything like this, you will find people talking about how evil it is and how people died from it. People die every day from simple things that you never worry about, like backing out of your driveway. It's just up to chance, and of course it is human nature to complain more about the bad than to celebrate the good.

- Hugs to all you mums, I believe you all, and I know how you are all feeling, My Daughter also very healthy with no majour health issues, had the full three gardasil. After the first she started getting warts on her hands and had them frozen off. Complained of feeling dizzy at times. two months later she had the second shot. The warts returned and she had them frozen off again . for some reason her third shot wasnt offered untill four months later. She had the third and final shot. After this she started complaining of her whole arm being weak, pins and needles in her hand, she had headaches more than she ever had, the warts were returning,She had complained of chest pain, and told me that her heart was racing really fast .In July, 4 months after the third shot she had an upper resperatory tract infection which she could not seem to shake off. Even though after the first shot she was prescribed some multivite tabs to increase her immunity.Well she still complained of having a runny nose in September When she said goodnite as she always did went to bed as she was so proud of the fact that she had passed her restricted car licence. The next morning she never had to start work till mid morning, so we thought she would sleep in as she did cause she worked so hard. My-self and her dad went off to work and her younger brothers to school. I went to her work to pick her up, when I was finished, to find out that she had never turn up. I just knew that something was seriously wrong and raced home. Only to find every parents worst nightmare. She had died in her sleep some time after her last text message at 12.34am and 9.30am when she would set her alarm for work. I came home to find her at 5.30pm . I know the Gardasil had a major role in her death and so does our whole family as we all know how healthy she was. She didnt smoke, never did drugs, didnt indulge in alcohol,showered twice a day and always had to be dressed well even around the house. All the aches and pains she had experienced were over the six month period following the third shot of Gardasil. I am so angry as we were best friends and only had each other to kick around with. I miss my daughter soooo much I am beside myself. Merck is also the company that cooked up the anti-inflamatory tablets Vioxx that caused 30,000 excess cases of heart attacks and sudden cardiac deaths between 1999-2003. Merck covered up the fact they knew the potential risks that the drug could cause . I bet you that none of their children would be included in the clinical trial patients. If I knew what I know now. I would not have let my daughter have it. But she was 18 and the doctor spoke to her concerning it. I used to trust the medical proffession here in New Zealand . But not any more. I wish all of us mothers who have lost our beautiful daughters could unite together as one huge voice.I think correct me if Im wrong that Spain stopped the immunisations of gardasil straight away after two young girls had reactions. Obviously Prime-Minister dosen't give a toss or have a mind of his own to stop it and do the right thing. Which is to investagate just like with the vioxx. I am determined to stop this ignorance come hell or high water I wont give up. I have just had my most precious daughter ripped from my clutches by a company who has no regard for humanity , and only worry about their bank accounts , And how they are going to pay the victums of vioxx. OH ! I know make another vial of interest and fast track it, so they dont have time to discover its USE-LESS BUT FATAL FOR SOME !!! I would really like to hear from any mums. - My daughter was a perfectly healthy very active 16 year old girl before she got this vaccine. She was running 6 to 10 miles a day, being recruited by colleges and competing in state level events and it all changed when she got the gardasil shot. Within NINE days of getting it, she was in ICU fighting for her life! She developed inflammation and swelling around her heart and the ER doc point blank said it was because of Gardasil! It has been 18 months and she is still ill. She had debilitating fatigue and weakness, temporary loss of vision, chest pains, shortness of breath, hairloss, menstral issues, severe head pains, dizziness, loss of appetite, strange rashes and swelling and I could go on and on. She was so ill, she couldn't go to school last year, which was actually supposed to be her senior year. So instead of graduating with her friends, she spent her days too weak to get out of bed or going to one of her five doctors. While her friends were going to fotball games and dances, she was praying for someone to be able to help her. Gardasil is pure poison and while not everyone reacts immediately, NO ONE knows what will happen when these girls try to have a family of their own. The answer to the cervical cancer / HPV problem is education, regular paps and check ups, NOT THIS VACCINE!!

- My daughter had her first shot on Oct 16, 2009, right after the shot she got dizzy, so we waited before leaving the Dr. office. When we got home she went to bed,she was extremely tired. As the night went on she complained of not feeling well, thought there was people in the room with her as she was falling asleep, she had leg pain, all over not feeling good. The next day she said she was fine. Since yesterday she is complaining about a headache. I am not finishing the series of shots. Has anyone just received the 1st shot and not finish it because of side effect? and how are you doing today. I am scared to death for her. She is in bed again today with headache and being tired.

- My 17 year old daughter started having sizures after her 2nd dose of Gardisil. We have been to specialist and no 1 can tell us why she is having these seizures. Who would we talk to to find out if it related, please let me know by emailing me at jaaaaaaanet4ever@aol.com

- My daughter now 14 got the Gardisil shot on her 13 birthday she has been very ill after getting that 3rd shot.She had danced for 12 years and was very active now she can not even go to school and has not danced in over 9 months. I've been bring her to Duke Childerns Hospital in NC , the Doctors just don't know what to do. They told me to go on the internet to try and get answers so this is what I'm doing so PLEASE if anyone can help let us know before my baby girl and the other childern effected get any worse and for all of you going thru this my heart is with you.

- then again, every vaccine has a risk. i think it all depends on the person. if someone with a weak imune system get the swine flu vaccine, they might get swine flu right? i'm scared of dying now, but its been 1 or 2 years. maybe the side effects get more serious the younger the girl is? i'm 19 so... i'm not sure. i don't eb=ven why i got it. i don't have sex at all. i guess i wanted to be safe for after marriage. i'm such an idiot!!! well all i can say is that for those who got the vaccine or gave their daughters the vaccine, GOOD LUCK AND TAKE GOOD CARE. we had no idea this was going to happen and we did it for good intentions. but sadly, look what is happening. take care everyone and let's hope for the best.

- i received all 3 doses of this vaccine 1 or 2 years ago and i had no minor OR serious side effects. i don't know what to think anymore with all these new complaints. i'm so scared and anxious that i think i need medication to calm my nerves... thanks a lot!
