Joe the Traitor is just brown nosing now. (no pun intended). You cannot trust Joe the Traitor as he will say what ever he thinks will help him right now. I hope the people who voted him see through his red coat and remove him when the time comes.

Politics used to be middle of the road mainstream. McCain was by far the closest to the middle as was lieberman but unfortunately the Democraticic party has been high jacked by the left as was indidcated by nominating Obama. 55 million voters voted for McCain which was more votes than was needed to elect the last four presidents. The blacks came out in unprecedented numbers to vote for Obama, the youth also came out and that made the 3% differance differance.

Colin Powell did not lose his integrity when he agreed with Bush ,the UN and even the democrats on the Iraq war. They got faulty intelligence. There was never a plan to invade Iraq but Saddam invited us by refusing search of WMDs.If Bush didn''t invade Iraq all the thousands of multinational islamic fanatics who were wiped out by our troops in Iraq would have gone to the safe haven in Pakistan and they would have easily defeated our troops in Afghanistan by just the sheer number of them, the rugged terrain between Pakistan and Afghanistan and the ability to cross the border without being pursued.Iraq has reduced violence,2 elections and the US troops handed over control of their provinces to the Iraqi army and police. The resurgence of attacks in Afghanistan is because all the multinational islamic fanatics are assembling now in Pakistan where they have a better chance of survival. We did not surrender in Iraq because of Bush and McCain. Obama,Pelosi and Murtha wanted the to give the flag of surrender to the islamic extremists.Americans should be proud of making Iraq a democracy and a stabilizing force in the near future in the middle east.

Lieberman is a schmuck! He is an example of one of the worst types of politicians--claiming to be bipartisan while just trying to disguise the fact that he doesn''t care what his constituents think--he''s in this for himself. He''s already considered a Republican in Independents clothing, but having formerly been a Dem he should have backed Obama to support a more unified front and shut the h*e*l*l up! Instead he placed another wedge in politics for the sake of playing political games. I''m sure he loves having his ego patted by constantly trying to be won over by both parties.

Sorry about the random numbers in the definitions. The site that I pulled them from used dots to separate the syllables. Somehow those translated into numbers when posted to the web site.

Olivia4441:

What you label as "right" is not an absolute, it is an opinion. It is clear that you have swallowed and regurgitated all of the talking points of the right-wing zealots like Rush Limbaugh without making any serious attempt at researching the topics to arrive at a realistic, informed opinion. Your anger and hate mirror those whom you quote.

In a democracy (or a democratic republic), it is essential to have diversity of POV. Dialogue is healthy. When all you do is shout, and never listen to or research an opposing viewpoint, you aren''t a patriot, you are an idealogue and a bigot.

I`de4a`logue
n. 1. One given to fanciful ideas or theories; a theorist; a spectator.

big7ot (bgt)
n. One who is strongly partial to one''s own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.

The Dems don''t own Lieberman anymore and should stop treating him as if his their own personal chattel. He is an Independent. He can support anyone he wants to support. He can vote anyway he wants to vote. He owes the Dem party absolutely nothing. This is what an Independent does.

We can call this the Obama 180 Administration - so far, his selection of high-powered retread puppets looks like The Band of Thugs - Podesta, Emanuel & Obama, are intentionally picking the worse political hacks for the jobs - really stuffing the hen house full of nothing but foxes, i.e. Holder, Daschel, et al. The shocker, latest, a radical governor who NEVER MET AN IMMIGRATION BILL SHE DIDN''T WANT TO VETO, and yes, what''s her job? Right, Homeland Security! I swear, is this some kind of in-you-face Saul Alinsky Obama joke, or what? I think I remember hearing that this is the same governor who vetoed English as the official language? duh?

Sadly, patriotism may be a very hollow emotion during the next four years. The POTUS and CINC (one and the same) are the symbols of America''s strength and pride; I just don''t see myself ever having fidelity to a radical, Marxist, arrogant dictator who, himself, lacks any patriotism to America, as it is now. Patriotism will be in short supply for many of us in the years to come.

Nor-one, if you consider any attempt at rationality gloating, and any refusal to engage in hate-screeds arrogance, then you indeed deserve to be looked down upon. According to you, it seems, politics MUST be about name-calling and revenge. Call yourself whatever you want -- your attitude is pathetic.

centeristdem- Must be nice to sit up there and look down on every one else. Do you get much company up there, other than shrub? With no opinion or conviction it must be nice to just look down and gloat.

Frankly I don''t want either Israel or Dubaii in charge of USA''s homeland security. We need true red blooded America first competent individuals such as Jim Webb having the final word on our security.

Joe Lieberman as an Israel firster doesn''t fit that mold by a mile.

What an inspiring bunch of comments. We have the right wingers spewing hate bile about Obama as a "false messiah" or socialist dictator, the left wingers spewing antisemitic bile about Israeli plots every time Lieberman is mentioned, and nuts on both sides ranting that a gesture of reconciliation violates Obama''s pledge for "change" -- even though moving past mindless partisanship was a major part of that pledge.

Inspiring.
