- "And Congress promised to create its own special oversight board, but more than five weeks later not one person has been named to the panel."
"The brand new Financial Stability Oversight Board has met four times already but they don''t know how the banks are using the money. "
"We talked to the nine biggest recipients, who pointed out there''s nothing in the bailout law that requires them to disclose specifics.
----------------------------------
Let''s see them push through another quicky bail out plan and make the requirements even less vague.
***? No specifics in reporting where the money goes? Jeez, you''d think we''re so rich that we don''t care. It''s like FEMA and Iraq $$ all over again.
WHEN WILL PEOPLE WAKE UP AND REALIZE THE GOVT IS RAPING US??!! And we stand by and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it but b*tch and whine! - Reply to this comment
- Where Is The Bailout Money Really Going?
Hasn''t this already been extensively covered over the last few weeks?
1) Executive corporate retreats in CA.
2) Set aside for bonuses (because god forbid we wouldn''t want to loose that "top talent").
3) To buy up smaller banks making yourself bigger.
4) To Prop up your own bottom line as opposed to lending it out. - Reply to this comment
- K,I got it GOP, just wasn''t sure anybody else did, and forgive the repost, but it''s already been buried, so while I''m typing, here it is........
"Bank officials told Attkisson that taxpayers will have to trust that the money will be used wisely."

- This ticks off the public! Congress cannot allow a lame duck President and his cabinet to cart money away to their friends. Step in fast, Congress ... and seize control back. Now! ------------------------
You are absolutely correct. Now, what''s the first step to get them to comply. CALL YOUR CONGRESSMAN NOW! Email them, call them, stand outside their local office with picket signs. If we all band together, we''ll draw more attention to this fiasco and then maybe more sheeple will open their eyes and start the disintegration of the GOP.

Also write House Speaker Pelosi http://speaker.house.gov/contact/
and Senate leader Reid http://reid.senate.gov/contact/index.cfm
tell them what you want and then get your friends and family to do the same and keep doing it... Playing this republican vs: democrat stuff doesn''t fix anything - Reply to this comment
