Check it out: From the "Telegraph" in Britain (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/uselection2008/barackobama/3260074/Republican-fears-of-historic-Obama-landslide-unleash-civil-war-for-the-future-of-the-party.html):

[bq]
Jim Nuzzo, a White House aide to the first President Bush, dismissed Mrs Palin''s critics as "cocktail party conservatives" who "give aid and comfort to the enemy".

He told The Sunday Telegraph: "There''s going to be a bloodbath. A lot of people are going to be excommunicated. David Brooks and David Frum and Peggy Noonan are dead people in the Republican Party. The litmus test will be: where did you stand on Palin?"
[eq]

And just like that, the Republicans squashed Democracy within their own party.

If the Republicans treat their own like that, do you REALLY think they will protect Democracy in America?

Obama and partial birth abortion?
Wrong again, Comrade John,

From the Washington Post:
Obama''s record on abortion is extreme. He opposed the ban on partial-birth abortion -- a practice a fellow Democrat, the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, once called "too close to infanticide." Obama strongly criticized the Supreme Court decision upholding the partial-birth ban. In the Illinois state Senate, he opposed a bill similar to the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, which prevents the killing of infants mistakenly left alive by abortion. And now Obama has oddly claimed that he would not want his daughters to be "punished with a baby" because of a crisis pregnancy -- hardly a welcoming attitude toward new life.

As for Mrs Obama, the chant is the same:

In February 2004, Michelle Obama wrote a fundraising letter during her husband''s 2004 US Senate campaign claiming the partial birth abortion ban "is clearly unconstitutional" and "a flawed law."

So much for the gibberish about Obama not supporting partial birth aborition. Obama and his wife are both clearly against the ban on partial birth abortion and will seek to have that ban lifted.

Be all you can be, Comrade John,

I''''''''m dying to know - where do you get all of your obviously incorrect information regarding socialized health care? Hannity? Limbaugh?

I''''m guessing from Rowdy.

That sounds about right.

This clown is thoroughly clueless.

Well, Mindless John, The big difference is whether the taxpayer (that would be me) has to pay for everyone''''s health care (that would be you) under Lord Obama''''s socialized medicine, or whether that same taxpayer (that would be me) has to continue paying for a lesser amount (maybe you?) under the current plan.

You obviously know a lot more about the likes of Hannity and Limbaugh since you choose to refer them, so you can continue to give them publicity if you want.

My vote will not be for either of the worthless candidates nominated by the two major parties (your Lord and Messiah Obama and Draft Dodger Biden included) as I am an Independent.

Drink some more kool-aid, chant the mantra, and bow to Mecca before you post again, Comrade John.

Posted by Logansprings at 05:14 PM : Oct 27, 2008

How do you figure that you pay for my employer provided health care coverage?

And for being an independent, like myself, you sure are willfully ignorant. Independents usually vote based on the issues - and you intentionally neglect to inform yourself of the issues. I hope that you ARE NOT voting - you are too uninformed to make a logical decision.

You are just one more case that I can site in my claim - "There should be a required intelligence test, before you''re allowed to vote."

The procedure of "partial birth abortion" is what I was referring to, and that procedure is not legal, yet. But, Lord Obama will work with Pelosi and Reid to make sure that it is. Perhaps Grouchy John is a survivor of the procedure.

Socialized medicine is welfare on a stick. I pay for my health care and it is sufficient. You need to pay for yours and quit whining about not getting a free ride.

As for personal income, I am not naive enough as the typical Obamabot to believe that a tax cut will actually be applied with the mega-spending that is being promised by Lord Obama.

When your taxes go up (and they will), whine to Lord Obama or Draft Dodger Biden and I am sure they will give you all their attention.

The rest of us pay taxes, pay for our health care, and work for a living.

Obama DOES NOT support "partial birth abortion" - just one more thing to add to the VERY LONG LIST of "things that logansprings is wrong about".

I have employer provided health insurance, and whether you like it or not, you ALREADY ARE paying for health care for those that don''t have it, through higher premiums, etc.

As for the "mega spending" comment, the Tax Policy Center has estimated that Obama''s plans will add $3.4 TRILLION to the national debt, but McCain''s will add $5 TRILLION.

A little information would do you some good!! You should try it sometime!!

I don''''t care where you live or what you claim to have heard in your life, the truth is that socialized medicine results in substandard care, long waiting lines, and random care determined by the plan provider not the individual.

And, just like everything else under the guise of socialism, the working class has to pay for the benefits of the non-working slobs...a welfare state produced by redistribution of wealth.

But, if you drink enough of the kool-aid and believe the mantra of Lord Obama, you probably think that taxes can be cut while welfare spending is increased...pie in the sky politics courtesy of Obama, Biden, Pelosi, and Reid.

Get a clue, Mindless John.

National Socialism failed in Nazi Germany.

Communist/Socialism failed in the USSR.

Lord Obama Socialism will fail in the USA.

WHO EXACTLY do you think currently pays for the health care of the poor in America?!?

You choose to be willfully ignorant, and REFUSE to look into the subject that you pretend to know about / understand, and instead choose to make up facts and lie like you know what you''re talking about. How does that serve anyone, particularly yourself?

I''m dying to know - where do you get all of your obviously incorrect information regarding socialized health care? Hannity? Limbaugh?

Ha! HA! HA! Ha! HA! You poor republicans, Sarah Palin has sold her skins for some TV time.

www.chilitoz.com is reporting that Sarah Palin has signed a deal with PlayBoy Magazine to posed partially exposed in a future release of the famous nudity magazine in exchange, Heffner will run a multi-million dollar anti Obama add a day before the election.

Grouchy John, copy and paste is such a waste, but your mind performing the same service.

Backyard gossip at a BBQ doesn''t get it, and neither do you.

Redistribution of wealth, socialized medicine, War in Afghanistan, infanticide...get ready for the change of Obama...

Posted by Logansprings at 04:48 PM : Oct 27, 2008

Infanticide? Are you referring to the ALREADY LEGAL procedure known as "abortion"?

Your "socialized medicine" myth has already been debunked.

The war in Afghanistan was started and abandoned by the Bush administration. It''s about time that SOMEONE finally does something to end it.

And you certainly do not sound intelligent enough, to have any wealth to redistribute in the first place - do you make over $250,000 / year?

Well, the racist comeback didn''t take long.

Whenever anyone dares to question the socialist politics of Lord Obama, the Obamabots throw out the race or hate card without abandon.

As for paid bloggers, the Obama campaign has had a huge staff of paid bloggers since the primary. Sir Axelrod admitted this more than once.

McCain hasn''t raised enough money to pay for the anything like the "Obama Youth Blogger Corp," so that idea doesn''t fly.

Redistribution of wealth, socialized medicine, War in Afghanistan, infanticide...get ready for the change of Obama...

And, Grouchy John, this is not a Nationalist Socialist State of Obama, yet.

So, we still have freedom of speech and the press.

Neither Obamabots nor Obama Truth Squads determine what can be said or posted...yet.

The Socialist States of Obama may have a different view, and the followers of Lord Obama may chant the mantra, but the rest of us will still cling to our freedom, religion, and our guns.

And, we will do so whether grouchy morons agree or not.

Posted by Logansprings at 04:40 PM : Oct 27, 2008

Cling to whatever you want - I could care less.

But don''t lie through your teeth about a subject that you obviously know nothing about, just to make Obama look bad.

If you have facts, or something legitimate to post, then please do.

But don''t lie. That serves no one.

Copy, paste, and whine seems to be the format of true Obamabots without a clue, so let''''s go with that format.

Initially, emergency room visits are available to anyone in the U.S. whether you have insurance or not. So?

And, service under socialized medicine in Canada does not allow you to choose your health care provider or facility. You lie through your teeth and have apparently never participated in socialized medicine.

What I posted stands in spite of the kool-aid drinking Obamabots who would suggest otherwise.

Socialized medicine sucks, and the people who promote are no better.

Posted by Logansprings at 04:34 PM : Oct 27, 2008

I live in Buffalo - about 5 minutes from Fort Erie Ontario, where I have family members that ARE Canadian citizens.

I KNOW how their health care works - I''ve seen it in action, and we talked about it over the summer at a barbecue. My cousin broke his arm, and went to the emergency room, and was home in a little over an hour.

My girlfriends father took a bad step off a ladder, and went to the VA hospital here in Buffalo, and was there for 5 HOURS!!

Don''t sit clueless somewhere spouting off about subjects that you know NOTHING about!!! If you don''t know, then don''t lie!! What purpose does that serve?

And yes - they all have regular physicians that they see on a regular basis. Women go to the SAME gynecologist that they always did before, and the kids see the same pediatrician EVERY TIME they go to the office.
