As for paid bloggers, the Obama campaign has had a huge staff of paid bloggers since the primary. Sir Axelrod admitted this more than once.

McCain hasn''''t raised enough money to pay for the anything like the "Obama Youth Blogger Corp," so that idea doesn''''t fly.

Nonsense! It is well-documented that it is the McCain campaign that pays it''s people to ''Astroturf.''

Don''t believe me? Check the link:

Initially, emergency room visits are available to anyone in the U.S. whether you have insurance or not. So?

Posted by Logansprings at 04:34 PM : Oct 27, 2008

So, you still have to PAY for it, fool! It''s NOT as if it''s FREE if that''s what you are trying to suggest!

And if you need to be admitted, the cost goes up, up, up!

I speak from experience having spent 2.5 days in the hospital a few years ago for an emergency right before my insurance was supposed to go into effect.
Total bill= over $12,000

Most expensive ''vacation'' I''ve ever had ;)

If Obama isnt a Socialist than what is he?

Posted by wntrpls at 04:22 PM : Oct 27, 2008

''During the 2000 campaign, on MSNBC''s ''Hardball,'' a young woman asked him why her father, a doctor, should be ''penalized'' by being ''in a huge tax bracket.'' McCain replied that''wealthy people can afford more'' and that ''the very wealthy, because they can afford tax lawyers and all kinds of loopholes, really don''t pay nearly as much as you think they do.'' The exchange continued:

Young woman: Are we getting closer and closer to, like, socialism and stuff?. . .
McCain: Here''s what I really believe: That when you reach a certain level of comfort, there''s nothing wrong with paying somewhat more.''

Its time for us dem contributors to shift OUR focus to Franken over Coleman in Minnesota and perhaps, uh, Lunsford over McConnell in Kentucky.

"Polls indicate the race between McConnell and Democrat Bruce Lunsford is tightening."

If we don''''t get those sixty Senate seats it may all be for naught and the RNC has written off the presidency and shifted funding to key Senate races in the final days.

WE NEED TO MATCH THEM BUCK FOR BUCK!

C''''mon fellow patriots! Its now or never! Get out that credit card and poney up! Only eight days left!

DO IT TONIGHT! God bless.

It was deregulation, specifically non-CRA-regulated financial entities that were allowed to make loans to low-income people WITHOUT the regulations that the CRA made banks follow, that created the current financial mess.

Posted by ofbyfor3 at 03:31 PM : Oct 27, 2008

That''''s funny. It was the LIB regulations REQUIRING banks to loan to low income individuals that got us here. That''''s right, the same "Spread the wealth" socialist ideals spouted by nobama now.

Posted by pmsnbc2 at 04:18 PM : Oct 27, 2008

Get your facts straight. The CRA was originally intended only for banks which were required to follow certain regulations that were intended to PREVENT predator and subprime lending,

''When Congress enacted the CRA in 1977, the vast majority of all mortgage loans were made by lenders regulated by the law. In 2006 only about 43 percent of home loans were made by companies subject to the CRA. Indeed, the main culprits in the subprime scandal--the nonbank mortgage companies, which successfully grabbed the bulk of the mortgage market away from the CRA-regulated banking industry--were not covered by the CRA.''

What a bunch of lies!!

The people in Canada have regular physicians just like we do. They don''''t get a random draw of whoever is on duty!!

Yes people have to wait for some procedures - like Lasik, cosmetic / plastic surgery, etc, but they don''''t have to wait for emergency or "urgent" visit requests.

Why would you lie? If you have NO IDEA of what you''''re talking about, why not just keep your mouth shut?

They just spew what they''re told to think instead of checking out the facts. After all, it was a Republican aide that said, ''We create our own reality.''

Do you mean to say that Obama will do in 2008 what Bush did in 2000 and 2004?

If Obama wins, it will be because he stole the election. He knows he could never win otherwise so he has to resort to fraud which is the only kind of politics he knows being a son of the Chicago machine. He''s a crook, his cronies are all criminals. If it walks like a duck and acts like a duck.....

Obama is a socialist, so why are the libs on this board fighting that fact.

Posted by wntrpls at 04:13 PM : Oct 27, 2008

Because we have enough intelligence to know that a billionaire successful capitalist like Warren Buffett wouldn''t be endorsing and advising Obama if Obama was a socialist.

I guess Acorn and the Obama-types actually feel they''re entitled to break the law and subvert the Constitution by such fraudulence. They are of the belief and ilk that it don''t matter what we do since we''re entitled to do it anyway we see fit just so long as we get what we think others are denying us, even though we''ve always had the right to legally register and vote so long as we''re not committing a crime. The radical black Muslim Malcolm X had a disturbing mantra of "by any means necessary". Radical liberals and even those that are ignorant and don''t know any better actually think it''s perfectly OK for what Acorn is doing and the mean ole'' Repubs are trying to disenfranchise them. Get off your apartheid and racial oppression soapbox and admit it that you''re just a bunch of low life criminals who will steal anything, including voter registrations and the actual act of voting. Acorn must be disenfranchised immediately by having all federal funding cut off. They are an insidious festering disease to our Constitution and our laws.

At this point, there seems little hope that this election will go down without there being some degree of dishonesty... or at least, the allegations of the same.

No matter who wins, there will be claims of fraud. No matter how carefully watched, there will be dark areas where skullduggery was possible. And unless or until we go back to paper ballots, that isn''t likely to change.

For a nation that has existed with its differences and disagreements applied as a source of strength for well over two centuries, we do now appear to be seeing our republic unravel at the seams and drive headlong into an abyss of inner conflict.

Ha! HA! HA! Ha! HA! You poor republicans, Sarah Palin has sold her skins for some TV time.

www.chilitoz.com is reporting that Sarah Palin has signed a deal with PlayBoy Magazine to posed partially exposed in a future release of the famous nudity magazine in exchange, Heffner will run a multi-million dollar anti Obama add a day before the election.

You forgot the racists, ibsteve2u.

A good Obamabot doesn''t forget to throw the hate, fear, and race cards at anyone who dares oppose Lord Obama.

But, wait, under the socialized medical plan of Lord Obama, we will all have the greatest health care in the world. Who cares about strokes?

One GOOD reason to vote for Obama:

When he wins, there is at least a possibility that the fear-mongers and hate-spewers of the right will have a stroke, and bother us no more.

Letting people vote the same day they register can only lead to voter fraud after all. There being no time to verify things before they vote.

I am so disgusted with the diatribes and rantings of the right, I am truly afraid that I will need to wear two pairs of underwear when I go to the polls come Tuesday.

For I fear that I will recall their hate-speak and accusations as I push the button that says Obama and immediately have an ***.

And, now, in true socialist fashion, Comrade John wants to institute specific voter requirements (set by Lord Obama, of course) before one is allowed to vote.

So, with John''s Law, we would go back to the Jim Crow era and voters would have to pass a test before being allowed to vote.

No longer is being a legal resident enough to be allowed to vote, according to Comrade John.

More of the "Change" we can expect...

Comrade John (and fellow comrades),

As for employer provided health care, whether or not your health care is subsidized by taxpayers depends on who your employer is.

For example, large corporations get significant subsidies from both federal and state governments that assist in providing employee benefits. A good example would be railroads, airlines, or others in the transportation industry that receive direct government payments and tax deferments or reductions to offset employee healthcare and retirement. Of course, such subsidies are not limited to transportation.

So, how much of your "employer provided health welfare health care" do the rest of us pay for, Comrade John?
