CBS Evening News: Obama And McCain Answer Katie Couric's Presidential Questions
- What makes me beleive he is going to listen to genmeral petraus when he is office he didn''''''''t want to listen to the generals in Iraq and to this day still says the generals were wrong in Iraq an dwe should of cut and run. So just because he is now taughting that the generals need to run the war his past actions tell me he will use his idiology.

Sorry about the misread on my part. It seems strange he cannot hear and react to the following now --
At least we can hear General Petraeus when he says the central front for Al Qaeda is in Afghanistan, victory and success are not words he finds applicable to Iraq or the war on Terra'''' and that the resolution of Afghanistan may require negotiation with the Taliban without preconditions? How can anyone be strong on security when they live in a fantasy world where they cannot hear their most trusted advisor. McCain still supports a policy that permits the free expansion of Al Qaeda around the world from a handful of locations on 9/11/2001 to between 60 and 100 locations now and how many more after his first term, if elected? The VP''''s security credentials include using public email accounts for government business that were capable of being compromised through amateur detective work -- wonder how many foreign agents and/or others accessed that information before she canceled the accounts. I can live without McCain''''s and Palin''''s INSECURITY credentials quite nicely and considerably more safely. - Reply to this comment

Senator McCain at Saddleback called General Petraeus his most trusted adviser. Again yesterday in a CBS interview he was the first of a gang of people identified as potential invitees to a family dinner with John McCain. Not to mention that McCain is constantly stating he listens to the Generals. Sounds like you are calling the Senator a liar. - Reply to this comment
- Can you NAME a welfare program that Obama is promoting in his campaign??? Answer: NO, you cant!!!
Your mention of welfare programs is just a veiled reference to Obamas race and his almost unamious support among African-Americans.

He continuely calls for much higher taxes on the wealthy. He stated yesterday that he wanted to extend unemployment benefits. He has talked about sneding out rebate checks that would include payments to those who do not pay taxes. He says he will reduce taxes for 95% of Americans even though 40% of Americans do not pay taxes. The only way to do that is welfare. All of these are what I call welfare. I didn''t mention his race but you were quick to call me a recist in veiled terms. - Reply to this comment

- Just in...Two new polls confirm Barack Obama%u2019s wide lead in Pennsylvania. The Morning Call tracking poll and a survey from Strategic Vision put Obama%u2019s lead over John McCain in the crucial swing state at 12 percentage points and 14 points, respectively. The Real Clear Politics average of Pennsylvania polls gives Obama a 13.8-point lead.
How long before McCain pulls his organization out of Pennsylvania, just like Michigan? I give him a week. - Reply to this comment
- We are talking about the election of 2008. I am talking about what I see on this site. Rarely do I hear a McCain supporter bring up race. But, Oblama supporters call us racists in almost every thread. The fact is that racism is wrong no matter which side you are on. I will call out anyone who spouts racism no matter how subtle it is.
I think you need to read this site more. I can name four or five people who post on this site daily who post racist remarks. So please do not tell me that only Obama''s people are racist - Reply to this comment
- mccain''s a joke. hitting obama repeatedly, and falsely, for not funding troops without a timeline for withdrawal, which he conveniently doesn''t include during his verbal bashings. hmmmmm, do we all have the brain capacity, dear rats, to recall another war, RECENT WAR, when mccain voted AGAINST troop funding because there was NO TIMELINE FOR WITHDRAWAL????? I''ll give you a hint, for those of you who know how to get yourselves informed (which means, not many of you rats): it involved a country that starts with the letter ''S''. you can do it!!!! figure it out!!! yes, it happened. take your hypocrite and go home.

- redbds,
That is absolutely not true. You should hear some of the evil things said about Obama and his color. It is disgusting. Even the point of calling him a racist all the time. These people who never concerned themselves with whether any other president was a racist before!

- Life for you is good...for now!!! Your logic is to helll with those fellow Americans who lost their homes, jobs and life savings. The plight of your fellow Americans is of no concren to you. But, your logic is flawed. Your neighbors that loss his home down the street effect YOU...it brings down your home value. The collapse of business and lost of thousands of jobs effect YOU....its only a matter of time before the economic collapse comes knocking on your companies door. What YOU dont understand is that WE ARE ALL INDIRECTLY CONNECTED....what effects the least of us, effects us all.....

And you think that Oblamas welfare programs will help. They will only bring all of us down to the same level. - Reply to this comment
- OK, I guess I''ll give you that. Anyone remember the Golden Toilet Seat? I think it was 250K or something like that. And I think it was during Clinton''s Administration. Or maybe it was 2,500 but anyway, we were talking about a TOLIET SEAT

- How is voting for Mccain voting against my self interest. I need nothing Obama is promising (And will probably never be able to deliver anyways) I have very good life and I enjoy my job. So for me that leaves national security and you will loose the argument if you think Libs are strong on national security they are to concerned with how much money it will take away from their welfare programs.

- You should tell that to 80% of McCain supporters who are only voting for McCain because they are afraid of a black person becoming president. You should tell them that the GOP lied to them and poor whites are not part of their base and they are lying to them and using their fear of race, fear of someone taking away their guns, fear of religion, fear of gay marriages, to get them to vote against their own self-interests!!

OK J, Now I have to ask you this. Can you prove that only Democrats, promote or recieve Food Stamps? That means that No Republican has ever excepted or Voted to keep these programs? Then can you Prove that there were no Democrats that voted against this issue.
