CBS Evening News: Obama And McCain Answer Katie Couric's Presidential Questions
- I use to respect John McCain. Now he is a disgrace. I see him sitting next to a nothing like Palin and smiling and I am sickened. What happened to the old McCain that I liked. Does he want to be president so badly that he will stoop to this. After the horrible way he was treated by the Bush people in 2000, now he hires them to try to destroy Barack Obama?? McCain has lost it and it makes me very very sad for him. This hate that McCain and Palin are spewing is dangerous. He is no longer a hero in my book.

I say an illegal immigrant story just today. John McCain wanted to invite an Olympic champion (son of illegal immigrants) to have dinner with him.
As far as health care I am really worried about McCain''s Health Care Deregulation (that allows you to buy insurance across state lines) that will eliminate coverages as insurance companies relocate to states with the least regulation -- what insured services and other protections will you lose as your health insurance company moves out of state. That could be alot worse than waiting in any line. - Reply to this comment

- The surge may have accounted for some of the success in Iraq. However the ''''''''surge'''''''' is only a few thousand more than the initial invasion.
Ethnic Cleansing probably is the main source of the reduction in violence.
Other major contributors was the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi less than a year before the surge and the Anbar Awakening which occured months prior to the surge.

SORRY MESSED UP A PASTE
Certainly a significant contributor along with all the money the US was throwing at the Iraqis -- in lieu of a real economy.

It was PERSONAL STUFF!!!!!!! Not government stuff, yes it was an invasion of privacy, maybe endangering her family with such info, but no government breach was reached or compromised.

If any of what you''ve said was true, I''d be concerned. But since it''s all a crock of *****, I''m not impressed. Thanks for sharing though.

- That does not excuse the Governor for compromising her security and others by trusting such information to public e-mail servers probably using non-encrypted transfers that further compromised the security as it passed from server to server through the internet -- really a colossally stupid blunder on her part.

In a story today her office in Alaska admitted she used such unofficial accounts for official business causing a delay in providing her e-mails as required under Alaskan law in a FOIA request -- additional searches of the server for cc''s and the various e-mail accounts are required to comply with the request. Sorry the information was not just personal and that was known very early. - Reply to this comment
Anyone at all could have broken into her email account. The security questions were all public knowledge like where she met her husband etc. Shows how bright she isn''''''''t.

All part of the point we have been addressing to the original poster about Gov Palin being the major cause of any security breach. He is more concerned with a "hacker" when the "hacker" probably required no mre skills and insight than could be obtained from a Hardy Boys novel or and considerably less than was portrayed in the War Games movie.

Of course it wasn''t hard. It was an ordinary yahoo account. He clicked the "forgot my password" button and it asked him 3 security questions about Palin, the answers were all public knowledge like where she met her husband. This was no major hack. It was just a bored college kid.- Reply to this comment
- I am so sick to death of boneheads like this saying that liberals are lazy. Not only do I work much more than 40 hours most weeks (w/o overtime pay because it''''s a salary position), but also a 5-6 hr per DAY commute that cost me $600/month.

Well get ready for the shizz to hit the fan if your man gets elected. You will have one of two choices you may be overworked for less pay when the tax man cometh or you can stay home all day because layoffs and cutbacks will be the rule of the day. Either way is going to be bad. How bout you may not have any health insurance because he will be cutting pre existing conditions clause from some health plans, that means companies will go out of business, they cannot afford that. You cant have everything covered free, and get it at top quality. Wow we are in trouble if your world comes true on Nov 4th. I am in the health care field and I will be very close to a pink slip. - Reply to this comment
