The sad truth is that some blacks are jealous of successful homosexuals. It is a status problem; they believe homosexuality is a sin, and abomination. So it makes their blood boil to see homosexuals who are more financially or socially secure than they are. They arrogantly think: why is that **** living the good life, while I%u2019m living paycheck to paycheck? How can he have a Lexus, when I can only afford a civic?

They do not realize that being gay is sort of like being left-handed. Homosexuals can be from rich families or poor families. They can be liberal or conservative. Some homosexuals procreate, and want raise children; some do not.

People are more alike than they are different.

Are only pro-religious right posts being allowed here?

As for the posters who are selectively ignorant about our country''s struggle to be the land of equal opportunity for all, they should be forgiven. But we should still remove all tax-exempt status from politically active churches for the sake of the integrity of the United States of America.

You have a very good point. Those who mix religion and politics are the real dangers (need examples?) Our country should not financially sanction religion through tax-exempt status if the religious insist upon forcing their private beliefs upon the rest of society through political activism.

Furthermore, if religious fundamentalists will only tolerate a literal Biblical translation of select verses, they would receive more tolerance towards their extremist views by applying the same literal translation to their adherence of all of the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights --as well as applying the same literal translation to each and every verse in the original version of the Holy Bible. The ones who do not are the true abominations in the eyes of God.

And by the way, how long ago would we have run a career mom with 5 kids and an out-of-wedlock pregnant teen out of public office?

I''m waiting for Mrs. Ice Road Trucker to run into the rear of McCain so we can watch him blow up again! Maverick? Nah, he''s more like a Ford Pinto!

All marriages are civil unions in the eyes of the law. However, "marriage" is defined differently in religious institutions.

If gay couples want civil unions, no problem. If they want to be "married", then that''s up to their church...NOT US!

No one is forcing propositon 8 supporters to have a samesex marriage. They can have it or not that is their right under the california constitution. Just like no one is forcing homosexuals into a straight union. They can have one or not it is their right. Right now everyone is equal in california. I guess the majority has had their special rights for so long they do not wish to share

I dont care who won the debate. I was one month ago going to vote for Obama. And then saw an Ad on Obama and Ayers. So I decided to investigate and what I found appalled me. I cannot beleive people are thinking of Voting for Obama when there is a dangerous pattern.

1.Obama and Bill Ayers Annenberg Challenge Coverup
2.Obama and Alwadi, a palestine terrorist
3.Obama and Rev Wright
4.OBama and the socialist demcratic association
5.Obama and Acorn
6.Obmaa and Rev Flaggert
7.Hamas donated 30k to Obama
8.International Solidarity Movement
9.Wheels of Justice
10.Rezko
11.And now ACORN to the list of Obama radical associations

Take all of Obama associates and his comments he has made and ill sum up Obama.

Obama is the most left wing radical terrorist sympathizer who is pro-muslim and anti-Isreal. Obama is pro-black. Obama is arrogant, lies and throws people under the bus to pursue power. Obama is dangerous for this country. In a post 911 World , I dont understand how the Main Stream Media is not reporting or investigating Obama background. CAN anyone name a person in the past besides Michelle, Rev WRight, BIll AYers, Rezko who can VOUCH for Obama.

You don''t have to be a religious person to know a man with a man or woman with a woman is not natural. If everyone were gay the world would cease to exist.

So many hateful people on here. It shows as always religion divides rather than helps society. The sooner people shake off the shackles of oppression the better. Morales are far better in the European countries where religion is no longer so dominating as it is here and morality has become more about helping and supporting one another rather than maintaining pointless doctrine as most religious leaders seem to only care about here.

People are dying because they have no healthcare, social security and have lost their homes whilst our supposed "morale guardians" care more about fighting pointless battles over doctrine and scripture then helping the under-privileged!

I''m glad all the manufactured polls are putting a smile on your face. Regardless who becomes President, they will have tremendous hurdles to overcome. These are troubling times.

"This issue is more important than who becomes president of our states to me and to our Christian believers," he says.

So these Christians would rather the US to go to he11 in a hand basket than to have gay marriage.

Why do they hate the US so much?

People with little minds these anti- gay marriage people. Your faith is rather ignorant. No matter what religion you are or are not, you cannot get married without the county''s approval. This makes this a civil law not a religious law. Getting married in a church of your choice does not have a any bearing on the legality of your vows. Remember the word choice. The religious aspect is a choice and is not the requirement. Religious bigots make me sick. You are ignorant, hateful and intolerant. This feeling I have towards you makes me sad, but I have an intolerance too. I cannot stand religious nuts.
