Spinner - There''s a movement in this country to distrust and to hate intelligent people. They are called "Elite" or "Liberal" and we are supposed to hate them. This tactic was used to great effect during the rise of Adolph Hitler. He was incapable of making a good speech, so he spoke in platitudes and doublespeak, and to call him stupid was nearly blasphemous. Obama''s intelligence is a hinderance in this climate. He''s in the lead in spite of his intelligence.

Stormey, how is that not logic? You still haven''t defended your position. Calling me (in essence) wrong isn''t an answer. I''d like you to try again

I am very dissapointed in Katie as an unbiased news caster. She needs to keep her personal opinion out of her interviews with Palin. I am pro choice but I have to vote for McCain/Palin because he makes more business sense. Quit attacking her because I am losing respect for you in the process. I think a lot of you as a female professional and hope that you will go back to being a professional.

I don''t understand why Evangelicals hate gay people. *** never have abortions, and clearly, according to Evangelical logic, the most important issue in the world is abortion. Screw global warming, worldwide famine, and terrorism.

The scary thing is that there are millions of people in this country that think she''s just wonderful! They feel like she understands them, she''s just like them!

I don''t know about you, but I don''t want my surgeon to be "just like me" and if I had a problem I wouldn''t want my lawyer to be "just like me" and I certainly dont'' want my potential President to be "just like me" either! I want him/her to be way smarter and more knowledgeable than I am. Barak Obama is, McCain and Palin are not.

Your last comment didn''t answer the question Stormey. My girlfriend just miscarried and is torn up about it. Should I call the cops to arrest her?

A good rule of thumb is "If you can''t feed ''em, don''t breed ''em", but since a lot of people don''t think before or during intercourse, a lot of women end up pregnant who shouldn''t be. It''s a sad fact. Abortion is terrible. Abortion is hard on everyone involved. The relief of finding out a woman you accidentally got pregnant has had an abortion can be greatly outweighed by the guilt felt for causing the situation. I think very few people take abortion lightly, but unwanted children are even sadder than abortion.

So Stormey, should we then arrest women who miscarry? That''s an involuntary abortion. If abortion = murder, then miscarriage = involuntary manslaughter.
