- SARAH PALIN AND SECESSION FROM THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Maybe I''m in the minority here, but I have a **HUGE** problem with the fact that Palin and her husband Todd ("first dude") were associated with the Alaskan Independence Party (AIG).
THE GOAL OF THE ALASKAN INDEPENDENCE PARTY
According to their website, the AIG wants to "Become a separate and Independent Nation"
REPUBLICAN HISTORY 101
The Civil War was fought because Southern States were attempting to secede from the United States of America. President Abraham Lincoln ended the attempted rebellion and kept our country united.
Maybe the AIG think its "cool" or "fun" to stockpile arms and talk of leaving this great country. They really don''t understand the benefits that they are receiving by being associated with the USA.
QUESTION SARAH PALIN''S ALLEGIANCE
Sarah Palin, we KNOW that you wear an American flag on your lapel. But, do you honestly: "...pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one Nation Under God, **INDIVISIBLE**, with Liberty and Justice for all"?
If so, then why did you join and sympathize with a fringe group of Alaskan EXTREMISTS that want to SECEDE?
Sarah Palin is **NOT** representative of the Republican Party that I know, I disagree strongly with her secessionist "values" and am going to vote against her in the upcoming election.

- goodlord, shreksfiona, you''re comment is painful to try to read..... was disguised with the interview I saw by Katie Couric with Gov.Palin. It started with the comment about Gov. Palins daughter being present when Couric was doing this interview. .... disguised? do you mean disgusted? how can you be disgusted that the governor brought her daughter along - PALIN made that decision about her daughter - are you now saying that this woman, who is the governor of a state, wouldn''t take into consideration that her daughter was there for the interview - and ''it started with the comment'' - comment? - about Palin''s daughter being along - what does that even mean? she didn''t comment that her daughter was along - and if you think couric was condescending (yes, there''s an S in condescending), you are blind to the truth, which means, yes, you are a republican

- Hmmm....Since the Republicans screwed
up so badly in 2000 and 2004, they should not be allowed to vote in the upcoming election.
They need a "time-out". - Reply to this comment
- I was disguised with the interview I saw by Katie Couric with Gov.Palin. It started with the comment about Gov. Palins daughter being present when Couric was doing this interview. Couric did not afford the respect she should have for a head of state. If Gov. Palin had she been male, Cuoric would not have been so condecending. ( If this had been Sen. Hiliary Clinton. Hiliary would have handed Couric her head!) Couric also asked Gov. Palin questions that she would have never asked of a male VP candidate. If Couric was trying to be a tough-diky female figure then she made it but she didnt need to be. Gov. Palin is a lady and she was raised with parents that taought her manners and how to talk with people without offending them. The fact that Gov. Palin didnt have a passport until reently means nothing except that she didnt have rich parents who could pay for her to doddle around Europe after high school. Gov. Palin has had to work her whole life. And her entry into that beauty pagent help with scholarship money for attendence at a state run college.
Katie Couric, you could learn a few things from Gov. Saran Palin! - Reply to this comment
- I think Obama is a Senator for some state or another... Capable of leadership? Well that is the monster I do not know. I do know CBS used to write not so graet stories about him as you can see here:
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/01/17/politics/main2369157.shtml
As it is right now they seem to be doing a pretty good job of making you believe that there is no better choice than to vote for Obama but wait until he''s possibly elected. He''ll be a good source to throw under the bus for all the screwed up mess our country is in. - Reply to this comment
- I know a lot about Obama... He and Biden are the best dressed ticket to vote for I guess I do know that... I know he''s got a lot of experience campaigning and is good at that... I know he''s got quite a celebrity like status...

- Well we all know Biden is Catholic and not even a very good one at that since he believes abortion is ok.

- IS IT ME, OR DOES IT APPEAR PALIN BECOMES DEFENSIVE OVER THE MOST INNOCENT MATTERS? COURIC ASK PALIN ABOUT THINGS SHE READ, AND PALIN ACT LIKE COURIC IS TRYING TO PUT HER AND THE PEOPLE OF ALASKA DOWN??
You are so right. She does not get it. - Reply to this comment
- Was the Christian Conservative base (the group McCain is trying to attract with his choice of Palin) aware that Palin is not a member of a church before Katie Couric''s interviews? Isn''t that important to this Christian group?
Palin declares that she is not a member of any church, and that she wishes she had the time and consistency to be a more regular attendee of a church but, no, have not.
Supposedly attractive to those with Christian values yet Palin does not find it a priority to find the one hour a week it takes to attend church, and she is not even a church member? Wasn''t that part of theMcCain team''s vetting process?
Were her children raised in a church environment? Did they attend church, Sunday school, vacation bible school? (One would think not by the trouble they have gotten themselves into. Underage drinking, teen pregnancy, wild behavior.)
Now that Sarah has chosen to reveal this new piece of information about herself, I''d like to know more.
We saw Sarah standing in front of a congregation speaking about how it''s God''s will to drill for Alaskan oil. How does she know God wants that? We also saw her getting a blessing from an African witch doctor. I''d like to know more about her religion. - Reply to this comment
- oops. wrong post. sorry.
Palin''s personal belief are NOT POLICY.
But I digress, I have no wish to have BIDEN as President. However, unless Senator Obama provides a certified copy of his ''original'' birth certificate he is ineligible to be President.
Google: Obama crimes.
To be fair also Google: McCain crimes.
Without this simple piece of paper, Obama is commiting a crime against our Constitution. Ergo we have a LAWSUIT that implicates Howard Dean and the FEC. Berg v Obama 08cv4083.
All this Democrat/taxpayer expense because Senator OBAMA won''t provide a simple piece of paper! That kind of HUBRIS is telling. That STUBBORNESS is reminiscent of GEORGE W. BUSH.

- Sarah has read ALL newspapers and magazines. I feel for her, it must be kinda hard to keep that up. She is probably busy reading right now! :) How refreshing an honest "transparent" politician. To bad the real transperency is the nothingness through her head and through her brain. I guess its better to say nothing than offer forth selections of whatever mindless *** the woman does read, if anything at all.

- it''s amazing the kinda things we do, and claiming the "COUNTRY FIRST" i have watch Sarah palin for all this days, there is just nothing specail that will move anyone to vote for her., Just Nothing!!!, How on earth is she govering Alaska. that to show how much USA has gone to the drain. She has no knowledge of ANYTHING, YES, ANYTHING. her so called years of journalism, mayor,?? and Governor, are a wasted years and shame. her views and thinking are out of normal.
Earlier, she boasted of her christain life.(born again) now she is telling us that she has no church. i doubt if the family goes to church.how much more know God. if her child has accepted Jesus as her Savior and God, then she will have no room for Fornication and pregnancy. Lies and lies is all we are getting from Sarah and Mccain. COUNTRY FIRST???? - Reply to this comment
- Sarah thinks women currently have "every opportunity to succeed." So no need to push for equal pay for women after all we really have it made. If anything she will take away our rights! She doesn''t understand anything and is living in a delusional world of make believe.

- I laughed out loud when mccain posed the question: "Do you think two mavericks are going to agree on everything?" What an obvious attempt to make it appear as if Sarah can hold her own (as she is sitting right next to him) yeah see he picked someone smart to disagree with him! We believe that!

- I think it''s awful how everyone is treating Sarah Palin. So she''s not a polished speaker and doesn''t know how to pull garbage out of her butt. At least she is real, honest, and has character. I''m not saying the other candidates don''t. But what you see is what you get with her. Transparency is definitely a rare quality in a politician. The guys who say all the right words and know how to pull *** out of their butts to make you happy but do nothing about it are the people we should be afraid of.
