- you are corect CBSsenser. McCain is a war hero and fout many times for his contry as grad of WestPoint and stood up to commies in Veitnom where he finished top of his class. He talks strait and sometimes knows what he says on strait talk express. Palin is his sole mate. That way he shoulde be presidint. If were talking about "getting educated", please spend some time yourselves figuring out how we got into this Huge financial mess. You first may want to time-line the milestones and evolution of Fannie Mae, over the the past 4 decades(secondary mortgage market). Then time-line the 1978 Community Reinvestment Act, its evolution and influence with the primary mortgage market. While your at it, time-line the growth of the larger community action groups, and their influence in the housing mortgage market. When your finished piecing that together, then review how the Democrats in the House and Senate, protected Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from scrutiny and regulation (this is all on tape). IMHO, red-blooded responsible Americans should understand how we really got here. And no, you can''t blame this one on Bush. - Here''s what I have never understood. If I needed a heart transplant, I want the best doctor around ie top of his class, best school. When I get in a plane, I want to have the pilot with the most experience and best knowledge of the plane and how it works, not the one who has already been in a few near misses and who graduated in the bottom of his flight class. That being said, I can''t understand for the life of me why we want average "joes" running the country? Disclaimer...I will vote for Obama rather than McCain/Palin because after listening to him speak, reading texts of his speeches and looking at his whole resume, which is not just 4 or so years in the US Senate, he is the smartest guy in the room with the unique ability to actually think his way through a problem, instead of rely on his gut. THIS IS WHAT AMERICA NEEDS NOW after 8 years of gut checks from our current president or the other candidates
