Katie Couric Interviews The Candidate About Watching Russia, Her New Passport And Her Opinion Of Obama
- To Obama supporters:
Stop putting hateful comment on Sara. You are obviously scared of Sara''s rise, her popularity, and media attention. Historically when a presidential campaign focused on attacking its opponent''s VP, they alway lost, so back off people.
She''s not the one trying to see Isramic leaders without pre-conditions. She''s still got more experiences in decision-making than your Obama has got in his life. And she''s still got my support. Go Sara! - Reply to this comment
- THAT'' S VERY SACARY TO HEAR ABOUT WITCHES BUT I FOUND THIS MORE SCARY:
OBAMA/BIDEN OSAMA/BINLADEN
THE NAMES ARE TO CLOSE!1 IT MAY BE A SIGN FROM ALA? - Reply to this comment

- Sundownlady and Citizen-S: I agree with you both that the McCain camp is using her...of course they are. But I don''t feel sorry for her. She should have enough sense to say ''no'' when asked to be the running mate. She seems powerhungry to me... and her saying that she ''didn''t blink'' when asked, meaning, she made the decision immediately (even if she didn''t really, she still said it). There are some things one should act on without too much thought, but this.. no. This should have required some serious soul-searching, asking, ''am I really the best person for this job; could I really step in and be the President if I had to''. That, and, with all the family demands of a pregnant teen and newborn with special needs. This is why I don''t feel sorry for her. She made the choice.

- I have to agree with Sundownlady. I too, think Sarah
Palin does have a brain. She''s just in over her head,
and Senator McCain is exploiting her for his campaign.
She''s the one I feel sorry for. - Reply to this comment
- I lived in Alaska for 5 years; skinned a bear, salmon
fished, fought Anchorage school district (and won), stayed home to raise my "own" children while my husband worked on the North Slope. Gee; I guess I''m
qualified to be V.P. of the United States of America! - Reply to this comment
- I really feel very sorry for Sarah. She has been shamefully USED by McCain to stimulate the republican base and gain support of women. She''s gutsy, inspiring, and energetic, BUT, she is nowhere near ready for national politics. She''s crammed so much to get up to speed, that she''s incoherent. Look folks, I don''t believe she''s a moron, she''s just completely out of her element and it being abused and misused by McCain.

- First of all, I agree with "dicktracy200" completely. I boycotted Fox News roughly 5 years ago when I noticed time after time nothing of value being shown on their segments (like 24-7 George W. Bush). I continue to do the same today.
Secondly, it is extremely important to be able to communicate in order to be a leader of any kind. This VP candidate illustrates no verbal competancies what-so-ever. She, sadly enough, has got to be worse than our current mistake-of-a-human-being President. I have watched McCain speak several times in segments online and he has his good and bad, like Obama, but this Katie Couric interview literally spoke for itself. I absolutely will be embarrassed to watch her in the next debate- embarrassed for all. What a wase of time and money for the American population and especially anyone planning to vote for McCain. - Reply to this comment
- The fault must be laid at the feet of Senator John McCain to make such a inept choice for running mate. Obviously, he was in a hurry to just choose a woman without doing his homework about her background and competence level on either domestic policy or foreign relations. Governor Palin, however, should have refused the offer to be Senator McCain''s running mate since she must be aware of her total lack of competence on any issues outside the state of Alaska. She apparently was too flattered to just say no to running for VP in an election in which she doesn''t even have a clue about the issues potentially affecting all Americans at home or abroad.

- This interview with Couric demonstrates how inexperienced Palin is on just about everything. It''s ironic that a presidential nominee would point at the lack of experience on the part of the opposing party and then pick a running mate as unprepared as Palin. I hope the public gets a chance to see in the up coming debate on Oct 2nd, how poor a choice Palin is just as a running mate and how much of a disaster she would be as President of the United States. This is certainly not the person I would hope to see giving advice to my President or becoming President. It makes me seriously question MaCain''s ability to make smart decisions. No wonder shes being kept under wraps.

- I am writing this message to inform people of the injustice being perpretrated by Fox News against Barack Obama. For the past two weeks there has been nothing but negative reporting against senator Obama by the Fox News network, which is unfair to listeners and the candidate. This networks seemingly biased opinions are not of interest to us viewers. My concern is that negative reporting like this will influence voters that are undecided of which candidate best express their wishes. I depend on these news stations for fair, accurate and just reporting regardless of the outcome whether it be a debate or any other current event and if that cant be accomplished I feel that it is grounds for that station (Fox News network) to be boycotted until they learn and understand that those types of injustices will not be tolerated. If anyone else can relate to the unfair reporting of Fox News I suggest that you join us in a boycott of this news station. PASS THIS MESSAGE ALONG.

- So, you will not vote for someone just because the issue of raising taxes? Check the facts and be educated about your decision. I will pay more taxes, if I can make more money, have the ability for health care and I''m able to go to college. The president and vice president have a greater role than just taxes.

- Let me start by saying "God Bless America!" for surely no one can bless MacCain for picking Palin as his running mate and possible US VP!
I just shudder what this means - I hope it doesn''t show that the great empire''s light is slowly, finally and permanently burning out - Reply to this comment
- "She has a stronger resume than Obama. She''s been a real mayor, he hasn''t. She has been a real governor, he hasn''t. She''s been in charge of the Alaskan National Guard, he hasn''t. She was a whistleblower who defeated an incumbent mayor. He has never once shown that kind of courage. She''s a whistleblower who turned in the chairman of her own party and got him fined $12,000. I''ve never seen Obama do one thing like that. She took on the incumbent governor of her own party and beat him, and then she beat a former Democratic governor in the general election. I don''t know of a single thing Obama''s done except talk and write." found on newsbusters-

- Palin''s response about why she only got a passport recently was not sufficient and made her look like an idiot who just proved again that she does not care about what is going on outside of Alaska. She wasn''t part of the group who was shipped off seas with a backpack by her parents? I don''t know any people like that but i know many who travel. People who are interested in other parts of the world, and want to experience different cultures make the effort to travel. That decision has nothing to do with parents and everything to do with the individual. I come from a family with very little money and i worked two jobs also, but i still managed to travel and explore. You can''t learn about the real world from reading books in Alaska. This is why it is so scary to let that woman anywhere near the white house. How can she deal with foreign leaders when she does not understand or know
anything about other cultures? - Reply to this comment
- I will still vote for McCain because I don''t trust Obama. I don''t want someone who flat out says that they are going to raise taxes.

I guess you have not been listening carefully to Obama. He has said very clearly that he will ONLY raise taxes on people making over $250,000 per year. Is that you ? - Reply to this comment
- Furthermore, I do not want someone leading my country (the country that WAS the greatest on earth until The Shrub got ahold of it) who thinks the dinosaurs roamed the planet 6,000 years ago. This fact about Palin is enough to render her unacceptable as a candidate.

- I would love to see one of you oh so intelligent pundits take on the establishment and get elected governor of any state.
This women is certainly no idiot!
If you think having a passport and seeing the tourist sites of the world qualifies someone for government office then you people are the morons! One can learn considerably more by getting information from multiple news sources. You know, CNN, BBC, HNN, CBS, NBC, MSNBC etc. etc. - Reply to this comment
