The military already been gutted by starting the Iraq war. Bush and Cheney, supported by McCain, sold this war that was based on neocon lies, cherry picked intelligence and a flawed strategy. In the mean time, Military equipment has been worn out, blown up and destroyed, while all of this is being financed by dept to China. Thousands of American soldiers have been killed and maimed, and the biggest deterrent to Islamic terrorism based in Iran has been removed. The kicker of this whole Iraq war is the real terrorists that caused 9/11 are gaining ground in Afghanistan, where the current White House brain trust has dropped the ball.
So opening your eyes, moron, you and your fear mongering Neocon cronies have already accomplished the nonsence you are spewing about Obama.
AND, the only thing scarier than McCain becoming President is the thought of a religious extremist and foreign policy dunce like Palin having the launch code for a minuteman missile.

Emmer94, who has been president for the last 8 years? If you have a complaint with how the millitary is being run, then it falls at the feet of the current president. If you''ll remember, Bill set up the military that easily defeated Afghanastan and Iraq. He did a good job of building our military.

Bush has had 8 years to fix things like the door that leaks at the bomb storage area. It''s not Clinton''s fault he didn''t fix it.

CBS did a surprising piece (surprising because it showed Bill in a bad light) of the bomb storage areas at one AF base that flooded every time it rained, doors meant to secure weapons falling off their hinges. You don''t have to actually do something to strip our military...you can absolutely nothing and be so much more effective. Look at the state of our aging aircraft. And then Congress hands a tanker contract to the FRENCH. We''re giving away our economy to other countries, some of which we (as the public) don''t even like.
