"Have you all forgotten? Have you seen the pics this week of 9-11.If GB would have done nothing like Clinton did we would have been hit time after time. They are afraid of Bush. Good luck if the choosen one gets in,Grab your soap and your ankles because we will be supporting all of this mess.

No, we have not forgotten that Al Qaeda attacked us. However, Bush forgot less than a few months after the attack and declared war on every terrorist organization and dictatorship in the world and created a firestorm of hate. There was a time American''s could travel the world without any fear of danger; no longer.

I also find it ridiculous that anyone would actually believe ANY US President would not act appropriately after 9-11. We all got sucker punched that day including the current administration that had a report titled "Osama Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S." in their hands.

"Some people are so stupid. The US invasion of Iraq is already over and an agreement has been signed to remove our troops by sept of 2011. Obama''''s rhetoric about ending the war is now completely moot, aside from the fact that even after Obama plans to surrender, the war with the islamos will not be over.

One of the most uninformed posts ever. Not only has no agreement been signed but the ''islamic war'' you speak about was not in existence until our invasion of Iraq. We were attacked by Al Qaeda and that is where our focus should have been.

Osama is the only leader that predicted what would happen with our invasion. So, it would appear his judgment as commander and chief would be better to finally bring defeat to Al Qaeda and temper the hate of US policies in the Islamic world while still protecting our interests.

Hillary_FTW,

I hate to break it to you but the one who''s misinformed is you. There is no agreement, there have been inconclusive negotiations. Iraq wants what Obama wants which is a firm timetable for the withdrawal of our troops. Al MAliki has said publically that he favors the obama approach and that''s what kick started the negotiations in the first place.

Now Bush has come back with a measly troop reduction that''s not even adequate to bolster our forces in Afghanistan where a surge of troops is most needed.

The Iraqis are ready to sign an agreement but we won''t agree to their terms for their country.

The other sticking point is that we want permanent bases there. Centcom already has bases in a dozen countries in the region (Quatar,Bahrain,Kuwait,Djibouti, Krygastan, etc.) and doesn''t have a clear apparent strategic need for more other than to safeguard American contractors and oil comppanies in Iraq. That''s not a good enough reason for any more of our soldiers to die for.

We need to sign the agreement that the Iraqi government wants, declare victory, and begin to safely and responsibly draw down our combat forces and turn over the rest of Iraq to Iraq.

Then we can go do the job we should''ve been doing in Afghanistan and take on the people who actually attacked us before and want to do it again.

From above

And John McCain said on Memorial Day in New Mexico: "As long as there is a reasonable prospect for succeeding in this war, then we must not choose to lose it."

And McCain says: "Our defeat in Iraq would be catastrophic, not just for Iraq but for us. I cannot be complicit in it."

------

On the other hand with Al Qaeda the main enemy in Iraq according to Senator McCain alone it seems now, their leader will be granted a free pass until after the election. Hero John McCain aiding and abetting an enemy of the US? Hero John McCain holding the US Voter''s security hostage to assure his election as President?

John McCain''s new strategy "I''d rather protect an enemy of the US than lose an election"

McCain says knows how to capture bin Laden

Wed Sep 3, 7:57 PM ET

ST. PAUL (Reuters) - Republican candidate John McCain said on Wednesday that if elected president, he will capture al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

"President Clinton had opportunities to get Osama bin Laden. President Bush had opportunities to get Osama bin Laden. I know how to do it and I''''ll do it," he told ABC''''s "World News" in an interview.

----

With one major limitation -- only if he does not have to enter Pakistan (where Bin Laden is believed to be) to do so.

McCain & Palin want to stay in Iraq. For what? Now Palin is staying we may go to war with Russia, but we''re still going to be in Iraq. Where will the troops come from to head over to fight Russia? Will we start sending troops that had come back from their 3rd tour of Iraq over there? Or will the draft come back?
