In the 110th Congress even while on the campaign trail, Obama is working McCain-s A$$ into the ground.
Obama has sponsored 71 Bill...Mc-Cain 22 bills.

John, u r another fact distorting Republican.

Obama has sponsored or cosponsored 570 bills in three years (more than McCain in the same timeframe); he has directly introduced 15 bills that have become law (more than McCain); he has introduced amendments to 50 bills, of which 16 were adopted by the Senate (more than McCain). Most of the bills he sponsored were in: energy efficiency (25 bills), health care (21 bills), public health (20 bills), consumer protection (14 bills), Veterans bills (13 bills) and ethics bills (12 bills). He hasn-t set any kind of record, but his record IS above the average for a freshman Senator. On a related point, let-s note that Obama has voted on more than half of all bills this year vs McCain who has missed every vote since April (indeed, McCain''''''''s own leading state newspaper has criticised him, and noted that AZ voters are citing McCain''''''''s failure to even show up in the Senate this year, as a major reason NOT to vote for him!). "

For ALL those years in the military and ALL those years in congress, how can McBush-s work ethic be so LOUSY?

I don''t understand. I keep hearing that 95% of working people will get tax "relief" while I continue to see massive spending proposals from Obama. How is this possible? Is it really possible to do all of this by taxing the snot out of the rich? A good question to ask Senator Obama is will he veto tax increases passed by a democratic congress that are not part of his proposal.

In the story, the first couple, apparently both working can only muster up 32,000 of income. She is a teacher. I know teachers get paid more than that. They paid no income taxes last year. Now they are going to get a check from the Government for taxes they didn''t pay. Redistribution!!

Where will the government stop? We cannot continue to promise everything for everyone. Healthcare, daycare, food stamps, college, housing. Have we learned nothing from Social Secuirty and Medicare. We cannot promise something to everyone. Before we embark on a bunch of new promises, why don''t we fix the programs we have.

I thought the impact on the Wilson family was misleading. IF their income goes up, THEN they will see an 8% increase. What if their income does not go up? Under the current system, if their income goes up they will see a 5% increase anyway. The story made it look like Obama''s plan will increase their taxes by 8% over McCain''s. Very skewed reporting.
