McCain is old, mean, and stuck on being a POW 40 years ago like that is so important now. John Kerry was in the war too and did not go on and on about his military service. He served honorably, but it was Karl Rove and very rich republicans that made sure he was dragged through the mud and ripped apart. Now McCain has a shrill, poison-tongued shrew to spew vitriol just the way Karl Rove and his type love.

Sarcasm and ridicule are a sad excuse for defining your position on the urgent issues that face our nation. They may bring laughter and cheers for a moment, but in the end, most people will realize that it is a cover up for the lack of any solutions. In McCain''s case ~ he still has to continue Bush and Reagan"s trickle down philosophy so his only alternative is a personal attack on his opponent. In Palin''s case ~ she really has nothing else to say and the attacks are so cute coming out of this little lady''s mouth.

If people were swooning over Palin for being shrill, mean spirited, and lieing constantly, they are not my kind of people. All she did was belittle Senator Obama, an honest, smart, and decent man. Palin used her poison tongue to spread hate and evil over all of this country. It amazes me how shallow people are, and especially these so-called religious republicans.

Hello?
Barack Obama?
The Republicans are publically degrading YOU and YOUR WIFE.
This IS a big deal. This is NOT a local basketball court. This is their strategy for winning presidential elections.
AND IT WORKS!
You must answer their insults. Proclaim it from the rooftops and the headlines:
THE REPUBLICANS REFUSE TO DISCUSS THE ISSUES!!!!!!THE REPUBLICANS ARE AFRAID TO REMIND VOTERS OF THEIR DISMAL FAILURES!!!

McCain/Palin''''s high approval percentage is more than double GW Bush''''s approval rating. Therefore McCain/Palin are ready now, and Bush/Cheney ought to resign today to let McCain/Palin finish the Bush/Cheney second term as a running start to their own two elected terms (the max). All AMERICANS gain this way.

The lie:
Palin: "The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes ... raise payroll taxes ... raise investment income taxes ... raise the death tax ... raise business taxes ... and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars. My sister Heather and her husband have just built a service station that''s now opened for business - like millions of others who run small businesses. How are they going to be any better off if taxes go up?"

The fact:
Well, it all depends whose taxes go up, doesn''t it? If Heather and her husband make less than $250,000, their taxes will not go up. Most Americans will pay less in taxes under Obama''s plan than under McCain''s. So they might well be better off.

Those are just the falsehoods that leapt to mind. I''m sure there are others.

The lie:
Palin: "America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it."

The fact:
No -- he plans to develop a lot more energy than John McCain does. It''s just that a lot of it is renewable, not carbon-based. Moreover, Obama hasn''t skipped the last eight votes on renewable energy.

Palin: "The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes ... raise payroll taxes ... raise investment income taxes ... raise the death tax ... raise business taxes ... and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars. My sister Heather and her husband have just built a service station that''s now opened for business - like millions of others who run small businesses. for the past 8 years we had Mr Bush who, in his believe, thought that work he was doing was God`a plan that he was choosing by God to be the leader of the "free world".And now my friend, we`ve got a V.P nominee who think that the war in IRAQ was GOD`S PLAN, that Alaskan PIPELINE IS GOD`S WILL!!!!And that is the REPUBLICAN PARTYbest nominee
Guys, we have some serious issues to deal with.
Just check on UTUBE=sarah Pallin church part 1 and sarah Pallin:Alaskan Pipeline...

And don''t forget, President Bush was also governer of the Great State of Texas, but what did he do good for the United States in the past 8 year? A war in Iraq, hurt our standing with other countries, high unemployment, highest gas prices ever, etc. etc. etc. What has he done for the poor in our country, probably not much.

When has Sen. Obama ever had to answer a hard question? It is the obvious that the media has picked him as the golden ticket to the white house. The problem is that none of us planned on Sarah Palin entering stage left and winning the hearts of the American people. I started out listening to the convention not very pleased with his pick, but after her speech I knew why he had picked her. She is truly an amazing woman. 80% approval rating in her state. Someone who is willing to sacrifice the niceties that come with being governor to help balance the budget. Hello! If I could have my own personal chef at no personal expense, I would, and I write cookbooks! This woman was willing to sacrifice for the good of the people! I think if Obama had chosen Hillary that none of this would have happened. I think he made a bad choice.

The question you might ask yourself is, "when has President Bush HONESTLY answered the hard questions"

A Country is in trouble, you might want to direct the hard questions to the President in charge right now.

But then again, he''s not for the many, but only the few. Then you might ask yourself, what have you done for the many poor in our country.

I wouldn''''t know about that since I''''ve managed to stay employed through it all; Posted by thetexaspapa at 07:39 PM : Sep 05, 2008

State of Denial. But I''m glad that "you say" that you are employed. Good, but what have you done for the poor and needy...probably nothing. What good deeds have you done for the many?
