%u201CQ. How does a Radical Pro Life woman try to get rid of a baby she doesn%u2019t want?
A. She stays pregnant and then . . . . when she breaks her water . . . . she doesn''''t immediately get examined by a doctor . . . then ignores a Great Hospital in Texas . . . . gets on a plane for an 8 hour flight, (where No medical attention is possible) . . . lands and . . . . still doesn''''t see a doctor . . . ignores a Great Hospital in a large Alaska city . . . . drives 2 hours and goes to a rural Small Hospital.
The baby survived despite the neglect . . . . but NOT because the Mother cared for it, as best she could have. God wants her to keep the baby.%u201D

How dare you suggest that a mother is neglecting, even wanting to get rid of her baby because she doesn%u2019t rush to the hospital? Her baby was term, so there was no medical emergency. Had she rushed to the hospital, they would have waited to see if she went into labor on her own, discussing with her the possibility of inducing if she didn%u2019t. The only sense in which she was high risk was her age, in which case, she would do best in the care of her physician who knows her and her medical history.

religion is man explaining himself to himself. this
allows for the myth of creationism to exist as part of
this effort. however this myth was created when we
humans also thought the earth was the center of the
universe. it is all part of the same logical try to
explain our existence. cindy and mcbush haven''t figured this out yet.

If your one who is asking when does life begin CHEW on these thoughts for a while.

Life really began thousands of years ago, conception is the continuation of life, aborting life from the point of conception (which is the point of
continuation) forward is extenuating lifes designed purpose, extenuation of all life is extinction

We did not and do not create life, life can only be continued through us, that makes us a special part of a master overall plan, this is the
reason abortion is an abomination

There is no such thing as individual life because we cannot create ourselves, we are all joined together through time and a beginning

Dear dbnfoboy. Nice comment, I think I agree with you about stable values except I don''t attribute them to "Judeo/Christianism". I attribute them to our founding fathers and the good men who constructed and fine-tuned our Constitution. We owe them a debt like none have ever owed their leaders before or since. Also, you just can''t ignore science. Well, I guess you could, but then you''d be ignoring science duh!

Wow...the comments on this blog are a bit scary...a few excerpts...(Quote) "I hope I won''t be crucified for mentioning thar more than a few people have been killed in the name of Christianity. And religion in general for that matter
It would be interesting to see how many have been killed in the name of "no God"...look up the numbers of Lenin and Stalin...even the Nazi''s had a perverted view of Christianity.
Everyone has a way they fundamentally view the world. Your beliefs are the lens by which you interpret the world, your opinions, etc...regardless of if you believe in God.
Some say you shouldn''t legislate morality (impose beliefs on others) but we always legislate morality. The issue is that those who are not religious IMO try to take the moral high ground and accuse the religious of shoving their views down the throats of the non-religious. How about not having non-religious opinions/legislation, etc shoved down the throats of the religious?

On this point, I''ll admit my bias and say I''ll side on the standard of a God who does not change standards with the whims of society. Our society was founded upon solid Judeo/Christian values. If we depart from a solid standard, what is the new standard? Do we just allow all individuals to decide what is right in their own eyes? Think about it, if we have no standard, how can we condemn anything? Society has some standards currently but the slope is slippery.

CREATIONISM??? Jesus, Mary and Joseph, are they NUTS? My God! Holy Cow! You know who I''d like to trickle down on? Shooter ***.
Q: How many #8 shot in a maybe 3 inch 28 ga.?
A: 256
Q: What is the shot per square foot at 30 yds. from a 28 ga. 26 in. mod choke or (to give benefit) a 28 in. full choke, loaded thusly.
A: 12-18.
Q: How close do you really have to be to blast a lawyer into the hospital with a typical quail gun?
A: About 5 yds or less if you only get him on the left side.

You gotta love the hardcore Christians/fundies/Jesus freaks. NOT.

Everything in the bible is the word of God! It''s all true! Did you hear me, Satan worshippers & evil pagans! We cannot pick & choose what we want to believe in.

The world is not that old. Maybe 7000 years old. The nonsense they believe in. And they say it with a straight face too.

Cindy McCain: "I think both sides should be taught in schools."

"..both sides.."? Excuse me. *** are you talking bout, willis?!

What do the world''s scientists have to say about that?
I wonder...

Science? What''s that? Enough about that. You''re talking crazy now. Christianity takes precedence over science, heathen! God created EVERYTHING. Too bad we stopped burning people at the stake. You''d be the first in line.

"Sen. McCain picked a running mate who opposes abortion EVEN in the cases of rape and incest"

Can you imagine? What intelligent person believes in this stuff?

Cindy, the future GOP first lady, talked about experiences:
Palin has twice foreign experience comparing to Bush because Alaska is next Canada and Russia and Texas is next only to Mexico. If Bush can be a president than Palin must be a much better veep.

My God, please put a little gray matter into her empty head!

To ddc_ooper:
Have you ever been in a news station? I''m guessing not. You do realize that Ms. Couric will not come up with most of these questions. Ms.Couric gets paid to ask the questions, there are people who decide what the CBS station wants to ask Mrs. McCain or anyone else. It''s very sad that you dont understand that. So dont take it out on Ms. Couric. If you dont like Ms. Couric remember what your teachers use to tell you in school: "If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say it at all." And you might get somewhere in life.

Yes, let''s get "both sides" taught in school. But it''s unfair to limit it to only two!

It is ABSOLUTELY CLEAR that the sun revolves around the earth! All you have to do is look up! So the "Earth-Centrists" should get school "science" time too.

I''m sure there are people out there who have a strong belief the world is flat. It''s a theory and opinion with "scientific support" (somewhere), isn''t it? So they should get equal school "science" time.

Don''t the Buddhist''s have a different theory on how the earth cam about? They should get equal time too.

Clearly disease could never be caused by something we cannot see! So the age-old theory that all disease is caused by "imbalances in the blood" must also be taught.

Yes- Creationism is mad unscientific garbage. It''s just another way these zealots are trying to turn this country into a "Christian nation" that enshrines Christianity as the "National Religion" and turns this country into a theocracy.

Clearly Cindy McCain and husband John do talk alot about issues. That is why their common position on Roe v. Wade is so clearly articulated here.
Listen I have no problem with him having an air head trophy bride wife, but having this hate-filled ignorance disguised as social conservatism jammed down our throats is sickening.

Just because not everybody is a lobotomized liberal doesn''t mean Cindy McCain can''t have opinions different from some of the commentators here. I respect her opinion, and while not agreeing with everything, this great country has room for all - not just liberals!!

Well Couric is at it again. Her liberal femanazism is showing all through this interview. Why doesn''t she ask Mrs. McCain what the best program would be to lower fuel and utility bills for most Americans. Or better yet, what path we, as a nation, should follow to be a more moral and integrity filled country. No, she goes right to beating the abortion horse to death, again. Come on Katie, join the rest of us in 2008, don''t be afraid, it''ll be alright!
