CBS Evening News: How The Alaska Governor Really Stacks Up On Earmarks
- Sara "Pow"lin ty is a gift that keeps giving as more and more is being revealed about her.
Everybody can spin it as best they can, but bottom line...McCain and she both used poor judgment, he in his selection, and her in her acceptance.
It won''t last, and for McCain, she was never intended to last, just an instrument to further his campaign.
"He" it appears would rather jeapardize the security of our country rather than lose an election.
Actually, it''s the McCain campaign that has been putting out the information about Palin themselves, so it can be addressed, and not negatively affect them in November, or to get her off the ticket after she has accomplished her purpose, and allow McCain to then choose someone else to everyone''s relief.
Some people are gullible, but that is how Bush managed to stay in office for 8 years, and what they count on to get McCain into office.
The question is will it work? - Reply to this comment

- The other Reality Check:
Sarah Palin, the presumptive 2008 Republican Party nominee for Vice President of the United States, attended the state party`s `Alaskan Independence Party` 2000 convention while she was still mayor of Wasilla. Lynnette Clark, the party`s current chairwoman, also said that Palin attended the party''s 1994 convention. Sarah Palin`s husband Todd Palin was a member of the political party `Alaskan Independence Party` from 1995 through 2002. While Sarah Palin`s exact membership status in the `Alaskan Independence Party` can`t be confirmed for sure yet, many claim she was a member and active supporter!
For the record the `Alaskan Independence Party` wants to be it`s own nation and not be a part of the United States! Members of the `Alaskan Independence Party` are fanatical about becoming independent and now one of their possible members and supporters wants to be our Vice President! Maybe Sen. McCain needs a much better vetting process!! - Reply to this comment
- What a joke, the Republican Party don`t even know who this unknown women out of nowhere is!! LOL
Is there a Pawlenty on the ticket after all?
Republican National Committee co-chair Jo Ann Davidson gave an early, opening speech talking about the significance of women in the party. It was at the party''''s 1892 convention, also in Minnesota, when two female delegates were seated for the first time.
"How fitting," she said, to be back in Minnesota as we nominate "Sarah Pawlenty, our next vice president."
The crowd went wild. She got it right on a subsequent reference: Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. - Reply to this comment

We need to know how Joe jr got his job, what influence his father used, and what about those consultant fees of over 100 grand !
Joe backed the credit card scam law that makes takes credit card debt perpetual, even after bankruptcy. Thanks JOE, a man of the people.
Also, the so called expert on Foreign Affairs - wrong on the first Gulf War, and the SURGE, and wrong on fighting Communism under Reagan. Wrong on most everything. Some expert..... Given this, the logical question is, why are the drive bys so intent on ruining the life of a 17 year old ? Why because they are in the pocket of big business , the banks and the Democrt party - Reply to this comment
- This whole "Troopergate" thing is nothing but a witch hunt. www.notwrightforamerica.com did a good job of destroying the basis for this investigation today.
And it gets better-the person leading legislative investigation, Alaska state senator Hollis French, is a partisan liberal Democrat who has badly compromised his impartiality by talking about how the report will hurt Palin, even though the committee is not even close to finished. The execution before the trial, so to speak! - Reply to this comment
