- Why try to make this into a church issue anyway? The issue lies withing the self, not the church.

- You can read about it in the book of Revelation.

Revelations was the rantings of someone who was clearly high when he wrote it. Certainly nothig to be taken seriously. It was only included in the bible because it is so vague that it could be interpreted in the manner most convinient to the moment.
The inclusion of Revelations and the exclusion of other books shows the fraud of the process.
Really the new testament is a collection of pamphlets all written 300 or more years after Jesus died. Jesus is a myth like King Arther or Robin Hood. There may have been such people long ago, but stories were made up and passed on and embelished, then written down centuries later. It is all nothing but fraud. - Reply to this comment
- You must be talking about the 7 plagues of revelations. So do you think we are in the "end times"? And if so, what about the hundreds of people who predicted this over the past 20 centuries? None of which were correct in their prediction dates.

If you read your Bible like you say you do then you should know we are in the "end of times". You say men have "predicted this over the past 20 centuries" but it has only been within the last century that man has developed the weapons required to fulfill the prophecies.
Look at the prophecies regarding Israel, some have been fulfilled in our time and I bet the one where God comes to fight to save the place where He put His Holy name will be fulfilled in our time also. - Reply to this comment

Are you trying to say that your perception is flawed?
What is your solution? - Reply to this comment

- I am a firm believer that the Churches have let us down. When I was raised the church taught us to keep the Ten Commandments of God. But now they teach this cheep grace stuff and all you have to do to be saved is believe in Jesus.
Let me tell you something, on the day of judgment Jesus is going to say "... I never knew you, you who practice Lawlessness" (Matthew 7:21).--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Posted by JediServant

It is the people who have let down the churches. They refuse to go unless mass makes them feel good. Otherwise they stay home and watch TV. - Reply to this comment

- As long as you got ministers who cannot discern when to declare sin as sin and when to show compassion and love, many will tell the church to do what the guy in the article said he did, that is "go to hell." A person with aids asking for help do not need any preacher telling him about his sins or how he or she got aids. It is the wrong time to make a person feel guilty. The very sad fact is that many so-called "men of God" have no clue how to approach any difficult situation without being an a s s or judgmental.

- I study "religious doctrine" and I can tell you that even today God does use plagues and pestilence to bring judgement on the world. You can read about it in the book of Revelation.
