McCain Holds Advantage In Demographic Renowned For Voter Turnout
- -I simply cannot wait until Barack Obama wins? Then all you conservatives will cry out for the changes my candidate Obama will bring? Like I did long ago at a time the world was not ready for my philosophy as it is now. Now is the time. Now is the place! Vote Barack Obama on Election Day for change for hope without truth.
Have the audacity to have hope without truth vote for Barack Obama.-

- As a senior myself, I can tell you McBush doesn''''t have the stamina to lead in these difficult times. Like it or not, a young blood is needed. My vote goes to Obama.

- Just signed on and reading the post. Seems we have a bunch of children on here today. Yesterday I read one post the the person said anyone over 70 shouldn''t be allowed to drive. Well that would take most of the cars off the road in Florida. I wonder how it would be not to let anyone over 70 drive or VOTE. Also while we are at it not let any one drive or vote before they are 40. That would leave a lot of sensible people left to vote and we would probably be better off. Even though I''m over 70, I would go along with this. At least it would get the kids that know nothing off the voting rolls and all records show they cause a lot more wrecks than older people.

- My folks are both 78. They say that this current administration is the worst in their whole lifetimes. They know what common people need, and their both voting for Obama.

I posted the following comment on Aug 29, 2007:
While I did not write it just in response to you I believe it should answer your false assumptions.
%u201CAs I have stated several times before, I have voted in every presidential election since JFK in 1960, and the only two times my choices did not win were in 2000 and 2004.
That has several connotations.
First, I am about as independent, politically, as you can get.
Second, the majority of Americans vote/think as I do, which causes me to believe the vote counting was NOT honest in either 2000 or 2004.
Third, Liberal/liberty means freedom to think for yourself, and make your own choices and the wisdom and moral fiber to grant that same freedom to everyone.%u201D

- Obama is careful not to allow politicization of a visit to the gravely wounded soldiers in Germany only to come home and have the GOP do EXACTLY THAT ! They''re SCUM!
Vote for them if you wish but I believe they have NO SCRUPLES. - Reply to this comment

LOL....funny that your kind doesn''t say these things to those folks when they share YOUR views, and especially when they name call and such first (as evidenced by the posted threads here). I will however, give you much credit for being a true typical Republican hypocrit! - Reply to this comment
- I am a senior, and a case in point why I am voting for Obama. Obama intends a 16-month time-line for a withdrawal from Iraq. McCain ridiculed Obama at every opportunity. Iraq''s al-Maliki stated Iraq would like around a 16-month time-line. Suddenly McCain is OK with al-Maliki''s 16-month time-line, which means he is indirectly following Obama''s lead. McCain has been far too hypocritical about far too much.

You people support this shill, yet you never listen to his words...re-distribution of wealth is his mantra, and the basis for Marxism, and one of the first tenets of the Communist Manifesto!

- "experience is the key factor."
There''s the money quote from this story. Democrats appear about to nominate a neophyte who has never held a full-time job and whose primary stock in trade is a velvet tongue. In a year when it should have been a blowout for virtually any Democrat, Barack Obama will lose the White House.

You need to take that "hateful morons" garbage, and apply it to those that REFUSE to discuss the issues, and instead focus on non-existent smear and other ccrap - like Rowdy / WellHell for example.

Are you kidding?
Every Obama supporter on here focuses on the issues, and the CONSTANT stream of mistakes that McCain keeps making.
What do we get from the "right"?
Rev Wright, Rezko, Ayers....
NEVER anything related to the ACTUAL ISSUES - just constant spew about BS, and racial prejudice, bigotry, and intolerance.

- As a Hillary Democrat, it still burns when I see that scene on the floor of the House during the State of the Union address. You remember, I am sure. Hillary and Teddy greet each other, even though Ted just endorsed Hillary''s opponent. And, what did Hillary''s opponent do? He showed his utter arrogance in turning from Hillary. I suppose some might attribute this to his insecurity and lack of experience; remember, only 4 short years ago, Obama was voting "present" in the Illinois state legislature.

- While racial bias in today%u2019s seniors is not hard to understand, your comment is inexcusable.
Children are susceptible to the personal biases of their environment, especially in the home. They learn to speak the same language, with the same accents, as these around them. They tend to absorb the same ideologies as well.
It takes time and learning from experience to develop one%u2019s own character and integrity.
This also applies to any racial biases, which were far more prevalent in the pre-1960%u2019s than they are today. Most seniors have ostracized any racial bias they may have picked up as a child, or they have controlled it.
America has, indeed, come a long way in that respect
I am hopeful that most of those same seniors will use the wisdom gained from years of experience to vote for what they truly believe is best for America, and put any other issues aside.

You just made and gave credibility to exactly whats wrong with some of the senior vote moron. If you think the seniors that are racists have ostracized or learned to control their prejudices, you''re an idiot because if anything, what they''ve learned has become more hardened over time, just as your views obviously have. Their and your hatred won''t allow you to see what is truly good for the nation as a whole... - Reply to this comment
