I''m having some trouble buying this one. We have historically payed out bizillions of dollars to farmers for NOT growing a crop. All in the name of "price protection".

Why did it seem like a good idea at the time? Because the experts were too busy being PC to do their jobs. Next up will be the electric car, that "seems like a good idea now", but wait until you get the electric bill at the end of the month after plugging in your car to charge it up every night. Good. I just hope we do not take years to make the switch to some other kind of fuel. The world needs food relief NOW.
