It is time to put aside the global warming dogma, at least to begin contingency planning about what to do if we are moving into another little ice age, similar to the one that lasted from 1100 to 1850.

dmw1167,

Are you REALLY an idiot, or do you just play one on this site?

Anyone that thinks oil is the answer is either bl0wing an oil executive or hasn''t finished the third grade. then, to add insult to injury you drop the "L" word. Liberal.

Are you really so dense as to see a real difference between either side of the aisle? Both sides are bought and paid for by the oil elite, who should send their kids off to fight for their profits in Iraq since the couldn''t care less about their future.

We sent men to the moon with technology developed in the course of a decade. Do you think we''ve grown so stupid as a nation we can''t come up with something better than gasoline to power our world?

People like you are the problem. You can''t think any further than your nose, or what Rush and Hannity tell you to think.

Biofuel is a shell game to make us think our leaders are actually doing something besides fattening their wallets with oil profits to do their bidding.

And nothing ever will, to your satisfaction. No one can ''prove'' evolution either, to the satisfaction of those whose faith runs against it. On a global basis, you are now in an extraordinarily small minority.

You are not a climate scientist, and if you were, the scientific consensus has been reached at least 15 years ago.

Truth is that there is NOT a total concensus of scientists on man-made co2 and a relation to climate change. I fully remember a "scientific cocensus" in the mid 70''s that we were entering a new ice age, AND that the entire planet was going to starve to death by the late 90''s. Truth is that biofuels are like most other solutions devised by the liberals; not very well thought through. They are like a bunch of spoiled, whiny children, they want what they want and they want it now. Again, it''s all about the appearance at the moment, no real desire for solutions that last.

I agree with bio-diesel made from plant and animal byproducts. It seems rather stupid to grow plants for fuel when there are much better options. I see no reason why a field can''t grow food crops and be a wind/solar at the same time on the same land. These electric farms can be tied to the grid to support rechargables and hydrogeneration. Giving us choices for fuels and competition with oil companies.

The comcept of "Global Warming " is but one step in a greater force I will call Global Climatic Change or GCC.
This is always the mechinism to reestablish balance in the earth, and it has happened before when the earth has collided with large near earth objects, Tetonic plate dynamics and catastrofic volcanic activity. Now we as humans have dug up concentrated carbon coumpounds seperated for effect and added energy to the compounds to recycle them back into the climate. Climate Change will happen and it will not be long in comming. (20-50)years at the outside. This will cause forced Human migration to equateral reagions where there are already people.
Stop crying yourselves a victom of a problem tyou yourself created and instead concentrate on ways to get along. Delfar is a mere microcosium of what I speak and an small example of what is to come. ( the same dynamics are involved exactly) Delfar is the destiny of GCC and it cannot be avoided best you think in tems of harmony or 5 out of 6 of the people on this planet will perish. The only real hope we have is the undying spirit of humans to be optimistic in the face of unsurmountable odds... Let''s pray that is the greatest of all.

If you were paying attention, you would realize that Sid is very intelligent and can speak English just fine.
