Iraq did not attack us and there was no al-qaeda in Iraq until after our invasion of them. Even then the so-called al-qaeda in Iraq is nothing more then Iraq rebels trying to kick us out who have associated themselves with the real al-qaeda that did attack us on 9-11 to give themselves some credibility. None of which changes the fact that Bush invaded Iraq because war is very profitable for those who bought and paid for his election. This war never was and still isn''t about fighting Bush''s "war on terror".- Reply to this comment
- America has not been attacked since we became proactive in the war on terror.

Amen brother. This site is overrun by libs. Their like cockroaches. I don''t even bother trying to argue with them. I just kind of blast them a little bit to kind of "thin out the herd".
I really hope they are kids posting for fun and not adults. - Reply to this comment
- and it is not buying us stability in the oil market. It seems that Bush did not plan a good strategy here. "Look Daddy, I am finishing what you started!, Look mommy, I am like daddy! are you proud of me?"

- Well they''re a lot like the USA then. Bush taught them well. Americans die every day due to lack of healthcare, 3000 to 20000 every two months depending on who is estimating. Kills way more Americans than either Bush or Osama.

- Why should they when the American tax payers are providing ALL of their health care costs for them?
Nice, huh?
The Iraqi''s can have universal health care, courtesy of the American taxpayers, but the American tax payers can''t. - Reply to this comment

- Of course its not buying anything for the Iraqis. Who really thinks that Bush went into Iraq for any other reason than to benefit the Big 4 Western Oil companies? And who thinks that McCain want to keep American forces in Iraq for 100 years for any other reason than to guard Big Oil?

This war is what it''s always been, a war to make rich people richer, even at the cost of the blood of tens of thousands Iraqi civilians and of more then 4000 of our troops. This war is and was about blood money alone. - Reply to this comment
- Bassim Sharif does. He%u2019s a Member of Parliament on the Health Oversight Committee.
%u201CThere is a corruption in Iraq and the corruption is widespread,%u201D he said.
Well at least they learned something from the Bush administration. How to steal their own people''s money. - Reply to this comment
- This whole war is a scam perpetrated by the best con artists that money can buy. Nowhere, nohow, does the common person anywhere on this planet benefit from any of this chest pounding and war profiteering supported by our government today. Look at you right wing pinheads in here... divided we fall, the end times... and you fell for it, and worship it and pray for it and our country''s so screwed because of it. There a quote from sombody from years ago that I heard once and it kind of stuck with me... suicide is the most severe form of self criticism... and that''s what you''re doing... and taking the rest of us down with you. Your mother must be proud of you.

- It''''s obvious the war must be going very well. CBS and the rest of you crazy libs must bring up the Iraqi health care system to find something to talk about. If that is the only item that needs to be corrected, we have truly won the war against terror. Let me guess, now Obama is going to fix the Iraqi health care system.

We will have won nothing at all in Iraq--Bush doesn''t have control of the oil yet--that was the only thing the terrorist in the White House wanted to win.
Why would anyone like you be concerned with the well being of anyone? You have the typical repuklican conscience! - Reply to this comment

What planet are you from and where have you been for the past 6.5 years?
The war "stopped going well" shortly after Bush hung mission accomplished sign on that carrier. It''s been downhill ever since.
It doesn''t matter if, tomorrow, Iraq has 100 model citizens and begins to repay its debts. The failure is 5.5 years old already. That particular humpty dumpty fell off the wall 5+ year ago.
Everything since then has just been rethugnicans using sophistry to save face.
Of course it hasn''t worked, but it''s amusing to watch nonetheless. - Reply to this comment

- It''s paying for something...or someone. That''s for sure. Watch in about seven months in Crawford when the announcement is made that Bush is on the board of some major oil companies along with Cheney. Sick people die in the US everyday without healthcare, so what else is new?

- It''s sad that our country is such a freaking ****. We have the potential to be great, but settle for less than mediocre. We settle for evil. It''s ironic that we run around the world chasing terrorists, when WE ARE the terrorists.

- And we American taxpayers are paying Billions of our hard earned tax dollars to rebuild their self destroyed country, yet we have disgraces like Katrina that Iraq should be helping pay for, instead of giving it to Bush, and Cheney, and their buddies in the oil cartels..................Doug
