My heart goes out to this familiy and any family that experiences similar factors beyond their control.

Now, go figure out what your next career is going to be and get on with it. Life is about challenges and you are defined by how you deal with them.

"Mike, a white-collar auto executive".....just another example of an american living beyond his means who has no savings or extra money to fall back on when times are tough.....too many people were living on maxed out credit cards and spending every dime before the economy turned bad......now the same individuals living in homes they couldn''t afford want Uncle Sugar to bail them out......

I live in the Detroit area and everyone in this neck-of-the-woods knows that the Grosse Pointe community was "George W." country back in 2000 and 2004. Too bad these people don''t like living with what the voted into being.

I agree with what you say. I think it is time to vote in all new, but i cannot trust obama. I have written my senators and told them if i do not see drastic changes by November i will look to replace them. I intend to make a list showing who is in office and take with me to the polls so i can make sure to vote agaist them. They have had their chancee and done nothing. If McCain is elected then if we have a democratic congress his hands will be tied on the war in Iraq and impeachment and war crime charges against bush and those who helped him make this mess.

I agree obama is very smart, but i thik he has a hidden agenda and will not trust him. I thik his associations prove he is a racist. I do not want a racist of any color in the white house.

I do not like Obama, but I will not say he is dumb or stupid. Just look at the white house we have someone there that is so dumb, he doesen''t know when he has messed in his own pants. I will take my chances with Obama instead of four more of bush.

I wanted paul first. Then it didn''t look like he had a chance and i liked the economy Bill left us with so i changed my support to Hillary. Now Barr popped up and he is running the same ideas as Paul so i would prefer him. McCain wants to cointinue the war so i don''t want him, but if i have to choose between mccain and obama, mccain will get my vote as a lesser evil.

If the propaganda system would just show the Bush White House wedding reception he would feel a lot better. Our troops should see it too, so they know what the''re fighting for.

American white collar workers have been extremely overpaid since the late 70''s. Now it''s come back to bite them in the face.
