- I agree...write in Hillary Clinton on the ballot! Don''t vote for racist Obama or 100 year war lover McCain. Write Hillary Clinton in on ballot!!.... We have two of the sorriest Presidental candidates to choose from this election.. write in Hillary Clinton.
American''s bought huge SUV''s and built massive homes and now they are surprised by our lack of fuel? We need to stop consuming energy and start saving energy. If we drove fuel efficient cars, lived in energy efficient homes the energy crunch would not have the horrific effect it is having on our country. The only ones to blame is ourselves. Even with the housing/credit crisis, people who bought homes they could not afford caused the their own woes. Who signs for a mortgage that when the interest rates inceases in of a couple years, their payments would double? I''m sorry, but I don''t have sympathy for Americans who indulged in luxury homes. I feel sorry for the rest of Americans who have to suffer through the credit crisis because of other''s ignornace. They''re the ones paying the price for the rest of American''s stupidity. - Reply to this comment

It will take 8-14 YEARS to see any results from drilling. And it will only add 1% to world oil supplies. FINALLY Americans are using less. This is our only escape from oil.
Congress is debating right now on ending alternative fuel tax credits. Guess what the Repubs want to do.

- There%u2019s an old business adage: "Charge what the market will bear." It looks like the market will not bear $4.00/gallon gasoline. This drop in consumption should send a clear message to the oil companies that if they wish to continue to rape the American consumer, they need to drop the price at least 50 cents. If they do not act soon, the damage to their long-term profits may be irreparable. People are moving out of the suburbs and closer to work. You think they will go to the trouble and cost to move back when prices return to a reasonable level? No, they%u2019ll stay in the city and enjoy the extra padding in their wallets. This will put pressure on speculators, too. It isn%u2019t much of an investment if no one is buying the product.

- But the GOP is saying there is a shortage. What a bunch of nut cases. Even there own oil people are calling them stupid yet that does not stop them from being dumber than dirt.

They are being opportunistic and trying to get the coastal oil ranges and ANWR opened up. The dummies are the ones that follow them blindly without doing their own research. - Reply to this comment
- Many Republicans, analysts and regulators, however, say soaring oil prices are a reflection of macro-economic factors, including the falling dollar, unrest in the Middle East and increased demand from countries like China and India.
But Saudi Arabia and other OPEC countries say there is no shortage of oil and instead blame financial speculation.

The amount of increase demand is not even a drop in the bucket yet the GOP keep holding on to the old ways, says something about them. - Reply to this comment
- Americans do not need Saudi oil. They charge too much money. The petroleum is poor quality and the ground there is dry of it. Oil Companies could drill anywhere in the world. There is no reason to listen to Saudi propaganda. They are nothing more than frauds and cheats.
